Black History : They Came Before Columbus.. Excellent 47minute lecture by Ivan Van Sertima

I can most certainly agree with Ivan Van Sertima that "We Came Before Columbus;" but I have strong doubts that those kingdoms/civilizations in the Americas "Came Before Kemet" as some authors may hypothesize.

Science has even attested that LIFE (Mitochondrial Eve) originates in AFRICA.

So, I have strong mis-givings that Africans developed the Americas BEFORE we developed AFRICA.

Where has Van Sertima stated that Afrikans in the Amerikas developed before we developed Afrika?

From most of what I have read that is written by Van Sertima he has shown links to the Mande speaking Malian Moors, and an earlier group from around 800 BC.

This is not an answer to your post.. but your reference to the Mande languages reminded me of a post I made in another thread that I meant to move over here..

...Here are some scraps from my own research of Van Sertima's assertions:
In, "African Language Structures (1973)", the author mentions some linguistic linkeage between the Mayan languages of Central America and Mande languages of West Africa. He then, rather arrogantly, dismisses the links as "coincidence", but when you consider what we know of the Southern Equatorial Current and also the evidence mentioned by Keita about the Tobacco and Cocaine being found in Kemet, it appears rather more likely that the Mande and Mayan languages are indeed connected.

To go along with that.. here is an excerpt from a Maritime publication describing The South Equatorial Current that connects West Africa to Central America..

And here is a chart of the ocean currents between Africa and the Americas.

And here is a side by side depiction of Mayan and Egyptian Hieratic Alphabet.

(I'll post the book I got this last piece from when I find it..
I did this screen shot quite a while ago)

Come on now, REALLY??....You actually QUOTED ME yet you still asked me THIS?!

WHERE do you see that I said that VAN SERTIMA stated that "Africans in the Americas developed before Africa??"

I SAID, "as SOME AUTHORS may HYPOTHESIZE," obviously meaning/indicating that an author OTHER THAN Van Sertima has intimated this claim.

Moreover, my post was directed to Skuderjaymes who KNEW EXACTLY to what "OTHER AUTHOR" I was referring. ----- Specifically, that "OTHER AUTHOR" would be Horace Butler who wrote "When Rocks Cry Out" which is a thread posted by Fine1952.

......And, I'm not being snarky when I say this >>>>

But maybe you really do need to get some eye-glasses cuz otherwise your post to me comes off as snarky-ness to ask me this when I so clearly said otherwise.

Either you genuinely missed or mis-read part of my post OR your intentions were otherwise.

No, it's not "your bad." --- Even though my post had an "inside meaning" to you, that still doesn't explain/excuse how he misconstrued/twisted what I said.
