The good news? The Hunger Games made $155 million at the box office its opening weekend, making it the third-best debut in North American box office history.

I read hunger games, all except for the last one. Good book, it talks a lot about the conditioning of the world, and how the government controls the people. It is definitely from a white perspective, so I wasn't shocked when I read it. The book is true to the core, and no one talks about that part, they have just turned it to a Hollywood movie without the reality. It kind of reminds me of the Matrix in present time.

White folx in the bloggisphere are attacking the movie because it has heroic black people. The book spells out quite clearly what race they are. In fact, the book implies the main character is at best, mixed race.

It doesn't say that she is mixed race, it says that she has olive colored skin, that is all. That is one of the main things that turned me off from the movie, they cast a white girl as the main character when that is clearly not what she is described as in the book.

Yep, that is to be expected, parents raise their children to think and feel how they do.
