With all due respect Kamau47 I believe Chevron Dove picked up on the thread starter's tendency to create threads degrading black women in some form..i could be wrong, i believe that is what she is referring to. I have to agree because I've noted the same trend coming from this poster.

You know dang well Chevron dove and I do not see eye to eye on most issues, so for us to be in agreement on something is a rarity and worth taking a second look at

these days hair weaves are so good i cant tell lol the difference to me is the complexion of Astraloids vs Ethiopians and Somalis,however i have seen dark skinned full facial featured Ethiopians and Somalis. I am not saying that I am right, I guess it comes down to what they would call them selves. Isn't that golfer Vijay sing from Sri lLnka? lol he's darker than me lol.

The Ethiopians i knew in college tried their best to disassociate with Blacks,they dated white boys exclusively. I'm sure that doesn't ring true for all,then again most of the "super models" like Iman etc are with a pink man.but what do Ethiopians and Somalis call them selves? Somalis hate Kenyans and refer to them as monkeys,Kenyans hate Somalis and call them mongrels.

See, this statement here shows that there are so much more issues that involves beauty standards, issues that have been used for political reasons and etc. that have made an impact on certain mindsets.

It's not just beautiful women or men but, how certain so-called 'beautiful people' view themselves from a superior aspect in regards to others they are supposedly and at times categorized to be similar to. If we ignore these issues then, won't we become more exploited?

In my opinion, it's not just what one individual feels as being 'truth' regarding 'black/African beauty' but, due to so many other nonblack people weighing in on the subject, it seems like there may be an effort to try and subliminally attack certain issues about 'natural blackness/African genetics'. I believe this is sort of like an attack based on underlying hate and a method to try and divide and conquer.

Whether its east, west, south or north Africa, there were major movements over the course of thousands of years meted out against indigenous people to implant ideas that white and straight hair was supreme and this is what the start of this thread presented.

I don't know,it's like they feel more comfortable around bigger black women? one thing i do miss about Cali are the free movie screenings though. the movie business has always felt comfortable with the bigger black woman type,dating back to the days of black and white film!

And it is so interesting how this subject of 'big black woman' too, has drawn so much attention from certain men. smh.

I mean, if black/African men know this about 'them' meaning, 'the movie business' and etc. then why would they spend their time voicing their negative opinions about 'big black women', playing into the very scheme of 'their' plans to insult.

Aren't they doing what 'they' want, insult black womanhood. There has got to be a better way to confront this kind of exploitation.

The 'all around' comments that have come from Bro Kamau47 and Bro Chinelo seems to be so effective when you consider your own mothers, sisters and etc.

Also, we need to take it much farther back than just the movie screen business. Even Bro Malcolm X spoke on this issue. But actually, this goes back to a deliberate selection process on the slaveyard. And when you look deeper even into the history of white people, they have their big, huge, hildergard kind of women up in Scandinavia Norse country of which was a norm and they were not looked upon as being negative in the way that propaganda has so pointed towards 'black women'. This was done for a reason, in my opinion, to hurt black manhood regarding black womanhood in order to stop them from bonding. This is the conflict and by voicing disgust without balancing it to uplift and encourage 'black women' to go out and seek better ways to be healthy, eat healthy, live healthy, these kinds of comments coming from black men may be actually apart of the process to suppress. It could become an internalization that could be self destructive. It could cause a black/African man to seek bad relationships that could breed much more problems, hence, self defeat...of which is the whole plan anyway. When you start complaining about this you will have plenty of nonblack people that will be happy to agree with you and use you, the black/African man, as a front to vent and bash black womanhood. It cannot help, it only suppresses moreso. This is the process...a vicious cycle.

I gues perfection applies if one likes women who are short with big booties. I think once one goes into this type of "showcasing" one goes into negative territory because most of these so-called "hip hop vixens" ain't got much brains and emphasize one particular body part.

exactly my point hollywood does not promote beautiful black women they promote Latifah,and Jennifer Hudson,and Monique the mammy look is what the yt hollywood like.,I never knew that this girl considered her self Creole until you posted her bio, this is the only black actress that's working a lot that i'd consider beautiful,or one of i should say I'm sure there are some i have missed.l i read her Bio, lol creole,but both of her parents are black,her grandma was mixed.? I dunno a lot of blacks call themselves that.
I mean my self I am medium brown,dark skinned people called me light in school,my grand mother had heavy Indian blood,my grandfather had irish blood(although i tell no one that lol) but i am black man,most blacks in this country have a mix. my father is very dark,my mom is medium-light brown I am a black man through and through. dark,brown,light brown,brown skinned,is all part of Black imo.


,that is my point though you see the pretty dark skinned Models that are being posted here,you never see in Hollywood! cause they want to depict black women as fat,loud,and ugly,unless they're biracial like Hallie Berry,then they become the white mans whore,ever see the movie Sword fish or Monsters Ball? LMBO

I don't know they'd have to lose weight first,thats really hard to tell with out seeing.
