With every breath my chest tightens
Barely breathing
I can't...I can't do it
Every exhale scoarches my throat
Sobs stagger through my chest
Shallow breaths fight through the tears
Unfaithful lungs fail to comply
So my heart speaeds in my chest in effort to make up for their infidelity
And my mind...my mind panics
Unable to understand
What makes the walls vanish and the room spin
Gripping at the air
I need to hold on...I need
Reprieve
It's all his fault
It's all his fault

my fault...

okay
.
.
.
I
stand
ready
To take the blame
…let you tarnish my name
If it allows you to breathe
…to seize each moment of now
For no matter how…tomorrow comes
I want it to come…for you
So
Calm
Down
Hear the beat of your next breath
Let your heart beat rest
From its over-worked yesterday
Listen…as your tears say
Joy sent me
That tomorrow might be
A
Blessing
To
You

Breathe deeply

With every breath my chest tightens
Barely breathing
I can't...I can't do it
Every exhale scoarches my throat
Sobs stagger through my chest
Shallow breaths fight through the tears
Unfaithful lungs fail to comply
So my heart speaeds in my chest in effort to make up for their infidelity
And my mind...my mind panics
Unable to understand
What makes the walls vanish and the room spin
Gripping at the air
I need to hold on...I need
Reprieve
It's all his fault
It's all his fault

This was so deeply poignant! Although it's a sad subject matter, your descriptive language was on point! This also made me think of Toni Braxton's song.
