Black Muslims : The Holy Qu'ran

Sistah Cherry Blossom I am so curious about something. What is your meaning and purpose? You don't share the beliefs of Islam at all. Your are a die hard believer in Christianity and Jesus being the son of G-D. So again, what is your purpose? I haven't seen one Muslim post to this STUDY GROUP at all. If I do understand the rules correctly(which you and others have made it plan for all to see) that study groups are reserved for sharing beliefs among those who share the same ideology. So again, what is your purpose/reason for posting here?

Brother Nasheed, I know of no other way to help you understand other than the words of Sister PurpleMoons from the first time this issue came up from you......

The thing is, everyone is welcome to share their thoughts on any given discussion as long as it is respectful.

However we have designated a space for those belonging to certain beliefs for the purpose of sharing with like minds without the interruption of negating spirits who disagree, and verbally fight to awaken/discourage them. We did this in an effort to allow all some space to practice their beliefs in a peaceful enviroment.

If management finds a subject is presented solely for the purpose to degrade and/or belittle the efforts of Black people, the creator of said subject will be addressed and handled accordingly.

We have areas here where all can address ones belief, present their facts, and/or debate it. We only ask that all respect our rules.

If a person not belonging to a said system wants to oppose a comment in a thread posted in the "Study of Spiritual Belief Systems" forum, create a thread in the religious forum, address your issues there.

But stay out of the study area if your only intent is to discredit, insult, and/or oppose those who share an interest in said beliefs.

If they so wish to address your concerns outside of the "Black/African Study of Spiritual Belief Systems" forum, then they can do that. Everyone has a right to believe whatever they want no matter how evil, divisive, or destructive another may think it is.

If you have truth, continue to present your truth. You do not have to present it in a thread where someone elses truth/lie does not coincide with yours. Thats the divine essence of truth. It can stand alone and still ring out loud and clear! It does not need or desire to sway anyone of its diviness. It is what it is! Those who have an ear to hear will hear it.

The botton line is, you can not make someone see what you see if they care not to see it. And if our rules continue to be violated in such a way, the source behind it will be suspended or banned.

So, you see, Nasheed, although I do not adhere to Islam, I did start this thread for discussion for any who would like to participate.

However, if management perceived that I had started this thread on the Holy Qu'ran to "to degrade and/or belittle" this belief, then I would be dealt with accordingly.

RESPECT is the number one rule of the House here; and by posting this thread on the Holy Qu'ran, my intent was not to "disrespect" Islam or its Holy text.

It is simply an online translation available to all to read and/or discuss.

The ORIGINAL purpose of these "STUDY GROUPS" was to STUDY for TRUTH and WISDOM within them.

So, what better way to STUDY the Holy Qu'ran than to actually READ it and compare/contrast it to my MY Holy text, the Bible?

Thank you for your response Sistah Cherry Blossom. You have answered my question. BTW: If ya want a very good Translation that will explain things use the Abdullah Yusuf Ali translation. It contains Text, translation and commentary. Also, I don't recommend using Ahadith either. Although some can be verified via the Qu'Ran others can confuse and misguide. If you need help just ask.

I would love to discuss Quran and Islam with anyone interested. I am currently beiginning an in-depth study. The main point to make right now is that Islam comes from the exact same prophesies on the Bible as do Judaism and Christianity.

All 3 books are uniquely tied together. To understand this you must 1st have an understanding of the origin for all 3 (KMT). Islam is not a religion but a way of life. Research the life of Prophet Muhammad(pbuh). A very good book is by Karen Armstrong. I have another but can't find it right now.

I have some knowledge of the Bible. And, I have read an English translation of Quran. But as I said, I am intersted in an indepth study of Quran as it is Unique. This, of course, includes the historical context, which also speaks to Judaism and Christianity.

My first encounter with Quran was in the context of my studying the Arabic language. I have found Quran to be one of the best ways, if not the best way, to learn Arabic. So, my study entails reading it in Arabic. This is one of things that attracted me to this thread: you have taken the time to publish in Arabic along with the English translation. As a devoited Muslim, I do not study for the Arabic langugae only. My objective is to memorize entire Quran as part of my Islamic duty. Muslims must memorize as much Quran as is possible in a lifetime. It is a form of Prayer to me. The acquistion of Arabic is a side benefit.

In any case, when do we get started?
