Egypt : Was West Africa populated by Egyptians?

This is the crux of our problems right here. "What is a west African or East African or South African or Egyptian"? I live in Jersey....so if my brother moves to California at what point in time do he and I become different people? At what point in time is he not my family regardless of what he build out there or anything else even if I do nothing?

Good point, but why is Egypt and Egyptian culture the focus of most our discussions? Since when did Egypt become the de jure African civilization for our people to connect with? We have volumes of talk about Ma'at, Upper Kmt and Lower Kmt, but whatever happened to Oyo Empire, Songhai, the Hausa States, Luba-Lunda Empire, Chokwe, Ngola state, Dagomba, Mamprussi, Nupe, Jukun, Susu, Tekrur kingdom, etc? An further Jenne-Jeno and Dhar Tichitt or Kintampo or Akwar?

Make it relevant for me. My ancestors came from West Africa and sometimes, as a person - the child of West African captives - I would like to hear about the history and cultural practices of those whom I claim direct lineage of less than 500 years ago.

What happened was the same thing that happened in America and other countries. New York is not the capital of America, Washington is.....yet New York is the center of where everything goes to. It is the center of information, of money markets, of imports and like they say; "if you can't find it in New York you can't find it anywhere". Well Kemet was the same way. It became the "center of where all African knowledge went to" and like New York it too is located in the northeast of the continent.Now what we have to do to gain an understanding of what you are speaking is to do a study of the migrations of our people before and during invasions by opposing peoples. It is there that we will discover the routes we went and nations we set up. It is there that we will find variations and implementations of new cultural practices that at one time did not exist. Let me tell you a story: One day I went to the library to look at the books on African Peoples. The book was huge...maybe three feet tall by two feet wide. It was kept in the archive section. The book was very pictorial. I got to a series of pictures where the people was wearing plates in their lips and had long drooping ears with plugs in them and all sorts of crazy looking pictures. Well I gave the book back and just said...wow!!

Then as if being led by a spirit I stayed in the library and kept browsing. Suddenly my hands stumbled upon another book by some white scholar about the European invasion in Africa. What the work documented is that those crazy pictures I was looking at did not always exist. At one point when our people became aware of just what type of people the invaders were looking to capture, our people left word with the rest of the people to begin scarring and doing these plate wearing and plug wearing and crazy stuff to our people and children so as to not be taken or captured. The problem was that the information was never passed down....and after 500 hundred years of doing so it was simply seen by the people themselves as "CULTURAL" instead of "the survival mechanism it originally started out as. Did we practice cannibalism? Yes we did, but why? That history needs to be told one day and maybe one day I will. We developed languages and many other practices in our migrations, forced or not.

Alright, brother, I dig that, but if Kmt was the center of the whole of African knowledge and Kmt's actual demise as an indigenous controlled center was over 2000 years, where did the African center go and why aren't we discussing that center? Did African knowledge than just disperse to various ethnicities as they traveled from that center?

Did African knowledge than just disperse to various ethnicities as they traveled from that center?

KMT wasn't "the center of the whole of African knowledge..." There never has been a center and never will be center. KMT was just another civilization, just like any other civilization.

Is anything ever 100% in life? New York isn't the center either of the whole of America but you understand what I'm saying. Did not the people from Kemet come from Anu/Ethiopia/Abbysinnia? Did not the knowledge base travel up the Nile river from the south? Did not Nubia also interact and become part of the knowledge base of Kemet? Let us now move to the west coast. Knowing that the yoruba and other religious groups have a legacy. Where in your studies did they say they came from? I can back mines up....no civilization "just springs up as Kemet did out of nowhere"....there has to be a transition of knowledge and a place where it lays root to grow. Kemet was that place at that time....so what are you saying here?
