I thought I heard a whisper
A small voice said “Come In”
So I flung back the door, and there he stood
As I greeted him with a grin
He invited me in for coffee
And a sticky bun covered in cinnamon
I questioned neither his motives nor fears
As my eyes made love to him
He showed me pictures of his children
His eyes brimming with pride
I studied his look intently
He’s devotion to them made me cry
My eyes wondered around the walls of his home
Lonelys scent drifted by
Her fingertips touched on everything I saw
Her dust on tables and blinds
I took hold of his hand, and said very sweetly
My dear friend, you have nothing to fear
For it is a must, that I remove lonely’s dust
I’m here to kiss away your tears.
His heart wanted to believe me, and his eyes did too
As my intensity reflected like mirrors
Very still we sat on the couch, he and I
Frozen like two lovely deers
As the ice magically melted, his heart thawed too
And slipped his hand out of lonely’s firm grip
He got close to me so I could feel his warmth on my face
There he tasted the honey of my lips
His breathe became heavy, and he swallowed very hard
Placing his shaking hand upon my hip
We stood up and danced around the room like lovers
Thirsty for one another, but taking sips
I whispered to him “ I’m yours for the keeping”
And said “Will you please have me??”
“Will you set my world on fire?” My eyes begged of him
My heart hungry for his answer to me.
He grabbed me around my waist, and pulled me tightly in
And said “Yes, Angel, most definitely”
“I will say Good-bye to Lonely my Queen”
I’m now ready to Fall Into Thee
A small voice said “Come In”
