Black People : Understanding the 5% Nation

I.S.L.A.M breaks down as I-Self-Lord-Am-Master, which basically says you are the ruler of yourself. A.L.L.A.H breaks into Arm-Leg-Leg-Arm-Head showing god to be a physical being and not some ghost in the sky. These nuemonic devices are used to represent OUR culture. We use those terms exclusively to separate ourselves from the Muslims.

From being around NGE followers, I am well aware of the acromyns used. I even dappled in the terminology, but I think what Bro. MenNefer was asking is why is it used? Couldn't other terminology have been used? It argues closely to a possible fact that NGE was a creature of its time when Islam and Islamic and Masonic references were vogue and it also advances the possibility that the crafters of NGE ideology were limited in their knowledge sources. It's similiar to a person saying they have master Kemetic science and belief but they use the Greek renderings of Kemetic terms. I understand one can not find fault in the language or point of reference used, but it can raise questions ya dig.

Without trying to beat a dead horse, the example is someone could have just as easily used Christian terms and words to explain a culture of mathematics. Someone could have used JESUS (Just Emperor Seeing the Universe Systems)the way ALLAH (Arm Leg Leg Arm Head) is used, although it wouldn't be as snazzy. Actually, I once wrote a system for personal use that informs my overall worldview - it's my system of self-governance based on mathematics (fractals). I'm not looking for followers so please no solicitations. It's just my truth.

That said I respect the Five.

Allah, the Father, took Islam from being a religion to being a culture. At the same time you have to remember the religion of Islam has played a major role in Black History.

Allah, the Father, took Islam from being a religion to being a culture. At the same time you have to remember the religion of Islam has played a major role in Black History.

That's a decent response, but the fact remains that Christian terminology could also have been used as a means as well since actual Islam has nothing to do with it.

I like when people use the word "culture" as in "hiphop culture" and the like. I think we need a working definition of culture. What is culture?

Indeed, Islam has played a major role in Black history - some of it not too flattering. I believe I had Islamic ancestors based on the names in the Census. Islam should never be slighted but.....
