Black Spirituality Religion : Which Religion Has Freed Us From Oppression ?

Looks like religion has it's etymological beginnings in a "Process that fastens or binds one to "Something" ...what is that something?

Does "fastening" or "Binding" always mean oppression?

Marriage seems to be a "Religious" process.

Empiricism seems to be a "Re- Ligious" process.

Just curious ...although I have my own ideas.

For that matter, what on Earth at all, has freed us?

No so-called religion nor spiritual ritual has proven to have freed non-white people from being subject to the SYSTEM of racism (white supremacy).

This may apply as to the reason why...

We spend so much valuable energy in an area that has not proven itself able to free us ... our people.

I just don't understand why it deserves so much energy, to the degree that we attack each other regarding it, making our own situation all the worse.

Seems we'd learn, if we want different results, we've got to do different things ... but we stay right here, arguing with each other, over these same things.

I just don't get it.
