Black People : Which state - "South of the Canadian border" - treats black people fairly?

Peace and Blessings Family
Is there anywhere in the world that black people are not mistreated?
Given what appears to be a civil war do-over, happening before our eyes, it made me think about leaving the South.

I remember my Mother never understanding my desire to remain here.

Now, with white folk as brazen as they are, this thought has crossed my mind, leaving the South.

As I think on this, I'm reminded of what our Beloved Ancestor Malcolm X said :

“If you black, you were born in jail, in the North as well as the South. Stop talking about the South. As long as you South of the Canadian border, you South. So we’re trapped, trapped, double-trapped, triple-trapped. Any way we go, we find that we’re trapped. And every kind of solution that someone comes up with is just another trap.”

I'd counter perhaps (respectfully), that some of these "southern states" are better than others.

Would you agree or is it all the same "South of the Canadian border"?

Which state "South of the Canadian border" treats black people fairly?

Still doing a deep dive on this interesting topic you've put before us, so far, it seems that Washington, DC or Atlanta, Ga is top choice for Blacks to live...

As mentioned earlier, Washington and Atlanta wrestle for the top spot when it comes to attracting African Americans who love these cities as a home and place of work. Washington, a metro area with high availability of federal jobs is proving to be one of the best cities for African-American employment.

Cities That Have Emerged As A Magnet For African-Americans

Here's a simple to read list:

Thank you Brother Clyde ... but Georgia and DC both held enslaved Africans prior to 1860. They agreed with the premise that we should be slaves. I wonder what makes them a magnet given this fact. Have they learned to treat us better, after enslaving us? I'm still drawn to those states that had little or no enslaved Africans, those that did not require a law to stop such inhumane behavior toward us.

Imo the civil war never actually ended..........case I point..........we still fight'n for the right to vote.

On a 'lighter' note, while I read the best state my mind said the least bad state.

Peace,

Considering West Virginia is on both of those lists, makes me think I don't want to mess with West Virginia.

With Joe Manchin being a senator from West Virginia who is a good ole boy Republican masquerading as a Democrat, I see why this contradiction exists.

I'll pass on West Virginia......... it's a trap.

Peace
