The Gratitude is for Allaah The Sustainer of The Universe and Peace on who follows The Guidance. The world may define purity as free from blemish, cleanliness or extreme cleanliness. This is not disagreeable. However The Most High has a more elegant application for the words' definition. Whereas the world begins its definition with the skin or physical body, The Most Glorified and Exalted begins its definition within the mind. In " perception". The operative word governing the 'idea' of purity is sincerity.
The Purest thought one can have is that thought which places their Creator above all things that are created, Not beyond, but above. Above, because all things come from Allaah and return to Allaah at their end; and all things reach toward Allaah during their growth. We grow upwards, indicating height. So from the smallest to the tallest, the idea and concept of Allaah is that Allaah is Above all things. Allaah has Four Attributes which govern all that is manifest and all that could be determined from what is Manifest,
Allaah is Al-Awwaalu, The First and nothing exists/existed before Allaah.
Allaah is Al-Aakhiru, The Last and nothing exists/existed after Allaah.
Allaah is Adh-Dhaahiru, The Manifest and nothing exists/existed above Allaah.
Allaah is Al-Baatinu, The Hidden and nothing exists/existed beneath Allaah.
There is a phrase: Allaahu Akbar. Many translate it to " Allaah is Great " or worse, " Allaah is The Greatest ". This meaning is cursory.
Literally 'AKBAR' means, " magnificent ", that which is magnificent. As in the 'lens' a scientist uses to see what his/her vision fails on its own to capture. Something 'magnificent' increases the power of physical vision and causes what is hidden to appear. "Allaah is Akbar", is to say, Allaah increases my vision on things that I cannot ordinarily see or comprehend by myself. " Akbar " MAGNIFIES what is seen through it. The operative word being 'magnet' ( to draw in or repel). Allaah is a magnet for the vision and its corridors of comprehension.
Allaah does not eat or sleep or have sex or give birth. Allaah does not sit or stand or squat or bend. Something Magnificent does not do these things but it can make these things more visible to us if we look at them through Allaah, Who is Akbar. Allaah is The Akbar for the soul, the mind and heart. So The Muslim trains himself/herself to perceive the 'Akbar' (i.e. Magnificence) of Allaah in all things. Especially within oneself.
Having a thought of Allaah based on the attributes of Allaah is the most elegant form of Sincerity, the purest form of sincerity. To think That Allaah is NOT created is The purest form of sincerity and the most sincerest form of purity.
Allaah is Alone ( Al- Ahad)
Allaah is Needless (As Samad)
There is nothing in existence you or I know of or can think of that is 'alone' or 'needless'. Nothing whatsoever.
Allaah is interested in our purity of heart and mind, not the presence of knowledge. Knowledge strengthens Faith and Faith is a gift from Allaah. Knowledge is a confirmation of Faith the way water and sunlight confirm the gift in a seed. Nurturing and Drawing out at the same time.
Allaahu Akbar wa lillaahil' Hamdi: Allaah magnifies and for Allaah is The Gratitude/Praise.
To you be peace.
