Curiosity is a motivator in early grade school years but these palefaces have a miseducational system designed to KILL curiosity. That is why I suggest sci-fi books. I would not presume they will work with all kids but they might work with quite a few. Go to school and memorze how to spell words that you never use and they call it education. And there is free software for various subjects. I find it really curious that music software for electronic pianos is not promoted very much by our school with all of the talk there has been that music is good for mind development. I think a lot of people really do not want A LOT of smart kids. http://www.freebyte.com/music/ http://www.ilovefreesoftware.com/19/featured/free-piano-software.html http://piano-lesson-software-review.toptenreviews.com/rocket-piano-review.html um
Maybe you don't know how this works,so let me help you. This is you entire post. the bold is what I quoted and responded to. So I will re-state what I said. Nice try though...we all stick our foot in our mouths at one time or another. You just seem to do it more often. I can tell by the things I address in your post that you really don't pursue further. I can give examples if you like. Lets use this as an example of how you stuck your foot in your mouth. Also, there is not much difference between smart and brainy. It's like saying wet,and damp. They both mean not dry.
Hmmm....I agree every black teacher that I had was AWESOME, and not solely based on their race, but because they had more substance in their curriculum...I learned a lot from them, I don't know if it was because I identified with them or because they had a lot more to teach...But I'm almost positive it was both. And also, being a parent myself, my daughter went to an all black private school a couple years back. And she never had problems with her studies, even when she left that school she was put into a school where most of her classmates where also black and she did well there. She never questioned the differences between whites and blacks. Not until she was transferred to her last school where the ratio to whites and blacks were much higher... Since you are familiar with this area Enki...my daughter was in the Tacoma Public school system, then was put in University Place school dist. Anyways, once my daughter was put there her grades went down a lot. My mom said it was probably because she around so many white kids. She started questioning about white people hair vs black people hair. A girl told her she was no good because she was black. I mean it was crazy. But now her dad has moved back into the Tacoma school district. As much as I don't like their school system, I'm kinda relieved that she will be at a school where I know there are at least some more black teachers and kids present. But if I could, yes, I would rather her be in an all black school.
The thing is sista,so many of us are not being taught who and what we are. Our young are so wrapped up in white culture to the point they show no interest in theirs. I remember a few years back King 5 went to PLU and asked black students if they would prefer and all black school, every one said yes. The one answer that stands out to this day is "I don't have to worry about racsim, overt or otherwise". And besides I feel better when I'm around my kind. I get so tired of having to deal and hear white all day long. Just once I want to be able to walk up to a black and relate they way blacks do. But I'm the only one,and I really don't joke with them because you know..when you do,they then think they can tell you a N... joke. Peace sista!!!!
It would appear that we cannot see the same reality. You quoted both sentences but only bolded the the first one. um
