WHY MOSES WANTED TO SEE GOD?
By Andre Austin

Before Moses was Moses he was called Osarseph , (Child of Osiris). He switched his allegiance to Akhanton who also changed his name from (Amenophis). Moses was expelled from the Egyptian priesthood because he had leprosy, an endemic at the time that disfigured the face.

The new religion of Aton saw God symbolically as One with one sun high up in the sky with its rays bring in healing. No image of god was permitted except the sun disk. The Sun rays was the link between heaven and earth.

The literature of the Aton went something like this: “Eyes have life at sight of thy beauty; hearths have health when the Aton shines”. So its clear the Aton “gave health to the eyes by his rays”. The tradition religion of Egypt has the eye (sun) of Horus and a wand helping to resurrect Osiris from the dead. This sounds a lot like a pole (wand) of Moses Bronze snake. The eye is part of the body able to perceive light and became also a symbol for spiritual ability and linked with snake eyes for creative/healing purpose. Moses didn’t forsake this part of the Egyptian religion because he had the two bronze serpents on a pole to help heal (Numbers 21:8 “make a snake and put it on a pole…look at it and live). So we established that looking at Sun or being able to see God was a desire to be healed? Nobody did it better than Jesus who said: A man was in Jona three days but came out alive and kept a candle to see light “The light of the body is the eye when single thy whole body also is full of light” (Luke 11:33-34). This sounds similar to Horus eye (sun) healing the death of Osiris who was dead for three days too. Plutarch reported that the Egyptians portray Osiris by means of an eye from Os (many) and iri (eye) many-eyed and the heavens, since they are ageless (not dying) and their eternity with a heart with a censer beneath. Wow this is something like a candle in the belly of the whale. For Jesus no man can see god unless he believes in him then he will have eternal life (John 6:46-47). And its back up with a reference to Moses bronze serpents Jesus in a metaphor will reenact (John 3:-14-15). I set all of this up as background information so when I start talking more in detail about Moses and Aton to make my point clear.

BACKGROUND:

1. Moses see God as a Burning Bush (fire) see
2. God tells Moses Iam that Iam the word Am in Egypt is Sun Just like Sam/son two words for Sum AM and ON (Exodus 3:14)
3. Hebrew word for Lord comes from Aton
4. A hymn to Aton is duplicated in Psalm 104 to Jehovah/Elohim
5. Akhanton attempts to change Egyptian religion away from Osiris, Amen etal
6. A story told to remove the taint of Moses circumcision under the Egyptian priesthood at On was to separate his from the cult of osiris who lost his penis from Set who cut it off. Circumcision was a ritual link to Osiris (Exodus 4:24-26). Its also strange that in Joshua circumcision is used to roll away the reproach of Egypt who taught them the practice? (Joshua 5:1-9). Or to say Moses wasn’t circumcised when the NT says he established it and gave it to the Jews (John 7:22)

MOSES WHITE HAND/LEPROSY

Hebrew priest put a slant on the topic of Moses leprosy and try to explain it away by injecting stories of his leprosy hand to remove the taint (Exodus 4:6).

MOSES VEIL WEARING:COVER LEPROSY FACE

While Moses dwelled in the wilderness he asked god: I beseech thee, show me thy glory (face) but god said “thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live” (Exodus 33:18-20). He allows Moses to see his back parts. He backs it up (Exodus 33:22-23). As a result of this incident something happened to Moses face that frightened the people. Moses face shone (Exodus 34:30). From this time on Moses wears a veil over his face(Exodus 34:33-35). Here is the link of an attempt to remove a taint once more. Leprosy laws required a veil wearing (Leviticus 13:45).Veil wearing and leprosy goes hand and hand.

Moses Abandon the traditional Gods of Egypt because no cure or aid came to his affliction or because he is banned from the Egyptian priesthood because he had leprosy. So he switches from Osiris, Amen etal to Aton. He seals it up by changing his name away from Osarseph (child of Osiris) and passes first two laws in Ten commandments as an attack against images of God like the Ram for Amen and Apis calf for Osiris and stone images.

MANTHEO (3rd century BC)

Josephus writes down an account from the Egyptian records. “Mantheo supposes a ridiculous thing by saying “King Amenohis (Akhanton” desired to see the gods (be cured). What gods I pray did he desire to see…the ox, the goat, the crocodile, and the baboon, he saw them already…And what pretense could there be to suppose that the gods would not be seen by reason of the people’s maims in their bodies or leprosy. For the gods are not angry at the imperfections of bodies but at wicked practices and as to 80,000 * lepers…”. Book 1 Against Apion. In this same book a relationship is established between Amenophis/Akhanton and Moses both being afflicted with leprosy.

Notes:
* A strange coincidence but according to the census count in numbers 26 at the time of the Exodus the two Joseph tribes Ephraim and Manasseh had a total of about 80,000 members.

For the first several years of Akhanton rule he tolerated other Egyptian gods which included the Mnevis bull sacred to and considered the living image (violation of 2nd commandment), to Re-Herakhte. Was this the golden calf that Aaron made when Moses was absent? Osiris was called the golden one when his soul went to heaven. Pharaoh Akhanton became a zealot for monotheism and worshiped Re-Herakhte now just in the form of a solar disk and its rays as Aten or Aton

How did the Egyptian religion began associating Seeing with health. Well it may have started in the Egyptian book of the dead with a story about Ra’s eye (the sun) being injured by Set (Satan). With the magical powers of Thoth spit in the eye of Ra and the eye made a full recovery back to its health.
