Naw...... The area is a little country, yet close to the city or on the outskirts of the city. I live in just such an area. It is pretty awesome . It is very peaceful where I live. If I want some action, then I just commute to downtown or hit the freeway to go to a major city.
I like predominant black Caribe Islands and Belize. But like the others, your home is the best place to start. But cities in the states is often not the best place to raise African children. But I would love to raise my children in Belize instead away from the Yankee culture.
Good point. Stay away from cities. Cities are for commerce, not for raising healthy families in my opinion.
Where is the best place to raise a black child? The responses here are great! As a mother of a black child who lives on the outskirts of a city and focused on a positively controlled environment at home, I think that homeschooling is best. However, it may not be for everyone since mom or dad may have to forego a career and family income has to be adequate. Plus, there is still the social aspect which can be difficult....finding other kids with shared values within the community or close enough for social gatherings. Are there any homeschoolers out there? Please keep this website going. The sharing of ideas and experiences respectfully can help us accomplish a coomon goal.........raising smart and confident children who become productive and successful citizens.
