Black People : What Truly Motivates The So Called Islamist Terrorists!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ottoman_Empire

What most of us weren't told by the way of our history books!

FYI

You know, I try to focus on the dates this kind of history provides and then compare to other history in regards to Black Afican people during these times. This article on the Ottoman Empire initially offers the dates 1453, 1365-1389, and 1299, with regards to this empire. It also defines the Ottomans as being Sunni and then gives background on the founder of the Ottoman Empire, namely Osman I.

Now, through my studies, what I have found is that most 'secular' history books omit the Black African presence as a collective subject during these times, and this makes it so difficult for me to understand how Black African people related to anything during these times. So that is why I try to compare and contrast dates and times to anything significant that occurred in Africa. Therefore, this makes me go ALL THE WAY BACK IN TIME to the origins of Islam and Sunni and the Muslim way of life, and this helps me to get a better perspecive on how Black people lived and related to these movements during these times.

1453 was 800 years after the Islam, Muslim, and Sunni way of life even began under the prophet Muhammad! Now, that's a long time!

1299 was cited to be a time when the founder's father marched into Turkey with 400 horsemen to help against the Byzantine forces, and this was almost 100 years after the Crusades began.

1365-1389 was cited to be a time when victories were won, and this was about 30 years after the Black Death Plague.

1453 was not long before Columbus sailed the ocean blue!

But when I go way back in time, I see much more 'hidden history'... I tell you, the words 'Sunni', 'Muslim', 'Islam' goes way before the prophet Muhammad's time! I believe in order to understand what is going on today, in regards to Black people, we need to go back to before Muhammad. All of the books I have read define the prophet as being a white man with long straight black hair, and there were a lot of conflicts not only in Arabia, but also in Ethiopia that had to do with Colorism. From what I understand, the prophet did not agree with the enslavement of Black people, but many of his people did and this continued even after his death....There's so much more to this story, in my opinion. And it goes along with what you have written in your other comment about White Christianity.

First of all: Nice to hear back from you again!

Second of all:

My intent and purpose is to move us above/beyond/etc. what our peoples bigoted and racist white enemies choose to confound us with, i. e., as in their exclusive and sole take on how we and they came to be here, in the Americas, etc.

Obviously only a few if any, african or otherwise, have also gone a go into the history of Arab invaders of Mother Africa, and it has been awhile back, when even one notable mini series on the legacy/history/etc. of that continent aired on public TV...

So, I also do expect some of our oh so afrocentric posters here, to be as candid and honest about this subject, too...
