Hello everybody,
I'm reading The Golden Age of the Moor (Ivan Van Sertima) and right at the beggining he said this:
"The Muslim brought millions of Europeans over the North African ports of Sale, Tangier, Algiers, Tunis, Tripoli, Fez and Marrakesh and some of the northen Egyptian towns. One very famous Sultan, Mulai Ismail of Meknes, in Morocco, had as many as 25.000 European slaves. (...)"
So the Moors were the first to enslave people by the color of the skin? Or they just enslaved Blacks and Arabs as well?
peace
