On the 12th of this month a debate between Blackson and Ank on The Arena went down on the Topic of Black Nationalism.

Should Black People Unite? Is it sensible for Black Christians, Hebrews, Moors, Muslims etc... to come together and unite for a common cause, or should each group fight individually?

This debate got heated and then got out of control for a minute, but eventually things settled.

You can check the debate out below

This Saturday the 19th at 9:00 Central (I believe) is The AfterMath, where BlackDaugher and Onyx Daughter will discuss some of the points brought up in the debate.

    Peace,

It's a great idea but religion as an institution separates people. Believers and unbelievers. Jews and gentiles. Heathen and righteous. One would think that we could unite just on the basis of us being "original people" yet that hasn't been the case either. So ultimately there has to be something we have in common (besides a common enemy), something we all recognize which could give us the grounds for unification. In my nation we teach that the foundation for all things is KNOWLEDGE. Things like belief and faith will continue to keep our people apart from their social equality.

With that said we'll be able to come together for short bursts of time for very specific determined ideas. Nothing lasting though. Some things need to go away before we can have lasting unification.

    Peace
    Precise

with 800 billion per year, all the gadgets and gizmos of high technology, and the worlds intellectual resources at our fingertips, how is it sanely possible that 2 grown Black men would have the time, to debate wthere Malcolm was right or not 50 years later, with all the hell the Black community is faceing for not following 2 percent of the advise he gave us??

    I don't understand?

Dr Francis Cress Welsing said we talk about a problem and discuss a problem and debate the same problem and just before we get to a solution, we go back to talking about the problem again

I think we like to talk, and we like to talk about problems too!

Can we unit? I think so. but it doesn't look that way. It seems we rather argue then get any thing done. Not always fortunately!
