James To be honest bro, it's a black on black problem and I have no more allegiance to one side more than the other. I'm not gonna favor the southern Sudanese simply because they appear to be the underdog. Both sides are my people, and neither I nor you have a good grasp of what's really going on overthere. As far as I'm concerned it's just more white anti-Islamic media hype. I'm not saying there isn't any fighting going on overthere, but why are THESE people so concerned and are making such a big deal over what 2 groups of black people are doing to eachother in Africa? They didn't help in Rwanda, they aren't helping in the Congo, and they aren't helping overhere...so why do they constantly report on what's going on in Darfur and talk of Arab genocide? It's just another form of division if you ask me.
In this article is states very clearly that the Sudanese government has a role in the machinations of the Janjaweed. This is the same group that has raped and pillaged Non-muslim villages in the Sudan. I say death to these Devils.
True dat! Very good point Brother Ralfa’il! Sudan is not the worst humanitarian crisis in Africa. There are worst genocides in the DR Congo! Some 5 MILLION of people have died form mass killings, malnutrition and lack of humanitarian assistance in the Congo, not just some 300,000 people like in Darfur, western Sudan. The UN and Western powers don't want the Word to focus in the Congolese, Ugandan and Rwandan States because Western companies are involved with the turmoil. Unscrupulous mining companies take advantage of the conflicts to fill their own coffers with diamonds, gold, copper, platinum, and columbite-tantalite, also known as coltan, which is used in the manufacture of electronic products in most homes in the industrialized world. Minerals form Eastern DRC entering international markets contributes to human rights abuse! The U.S administration provide protection for and security for the government of Sudan responsible for 'ethnic cleansing' campaign. The U.S are as much responsible for the human rights violations in Sudan! The International Community is mobilized on stopping the violence in Sudan because the International media broadcast much more the plight of the Sudanese victims! The International commercial interests is not that high in Sudan.
OUCH! Sister Kwango, are you serious??? Is that a slip of the fingers, your statement, "There are worst genocides in the DR Congo! Some 5 MILLION of people have died form mass killings, malnutrition and lack of humanitarian assistance in the Congo, not just some 300,000 people like in Darfur, western Sudan." Sister woman, 300,000 people murdered may not amount to 5-million, but that is a lot of human life lost... To me it is 5.3 million African people DEAD, and I feel no more or less compassion for brothers and sisters in the SUDAN, as I feel for brothers and sisters in the CONGO... This is not a numbers game, it is human lives lost, and we should not forget that... You sound like you are boasting of the atrocities happening in the Congo over those in the Sudan... Peace! Isaiah
