Ok....I stopped reading at this point because the title of her poem is... The Rantings of a Frustrated Black Woman it is NOT I HATE MEN SisTar just shared her RANT...it is a FEELING ..'anger' and feelings come and go If what followed from your flow is based on the title you heard...then....everything else is just your stuff. and I've no problem with that and will likely read on ...at some point. M.E.
Then maybe I should have stopped at the title and not read the poem. You brought it on here as a poem you wanted us to read and share opinions on. See what happens when I truly OVER-STAND things? You can name a poem anything and the actual poem can be a little different than it's name implies. 'I Hate Men' would have been just as apt for a title but ofcourse... you probably wouldn't have shared it or it probably wouldn't have gone over well. I got a poem called 'Don't Love Me' but it's actually talking about my need and desire to be loved. So the actual poem is a little different than the name implies. I'm sorry, I don't understand this question. Your punctuation with 'Nobody' is also throwing me off. Do you think the poem was one of positivity?
Maybe you should have medusanegrita. I shared the poem here cause I liked what the Sistar had to say. I share the sentiments expressed there. I am comfortable with the expression of what people label "negative" feelings. In fact, three of the basic four feeling states are considered "negative". I thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings on the post. I disagree with your assessment regarding the naming of the poem cause I hear her talking about behaviors men have displayed and not the person per se. To each his/her own. Although you seem to have addressed this question "Do you think the poem was one of positivity" towards Ms. Interpret, I'd venture to say... YES as it is 'positive' to express 'negative' emotions.
