Sometimes I wish everybody had the same mind frame as you.....that was nonthing but the truth...... I will respect my brothas, sistas, and the mission statement!!!!

Welcome to Destee.com ekelsey02, as our Sister Destee would say...make yourself at home because you are. I certainly hope that statement does as much for you as it did for me three (3) years ago, and I've enjoyed being here everyday sense.

Believe it or not, our words mean an awful lot and serves as encouragement, especially when the chips are down. I'm sure Destee will be encouraged when and if she has opportunity to read your post.

Of course, all I've said applies if your post is being directed to the site owner, or which ever poster...Peace In.

I hope this will manifest this year, because there were times last year where the interpersonal negativity was so thick, one could cut it with a knife, and it seemd as though some folks would come here just to celebrate ish or get together to beat up on one member or another , and then thank each other for spreading negativity at a time when Black folks need to expend that energy on the opressor, at a hightened time of attacks on all of our communities in every city and state.
I hope that in this new year folks will be able to squash their peronal gripes and animosities, and be able to look at the bigger picture,
for the common good of the race,
that will take as you say a combined effort of all of our talents and skills
