Black People : Oprah Discriminated Against?!

i wouldn't have let her butte in either.

She can contract the services of a personal concierge. Heard those people get you into impossible places even if they are closed. I know a company called Quintessential offers that service. I stopped paying when they increased their fees beyond my capacity. Hope Oprah is not her own personal concierge. :?:

I heard that Oprah showed up minutes before the store was going to close (there were still customers shopping). In addition, the store employees stated part of their reasoning for turning her away was that they've been having problems with "North Africans". Either way, Oprah has learned that all the money in the world doesn't change the fact she is a black woman. That realization coupled with her recent discovery of having Zulu roots, might produce good things. Who knows, she might have 4 black people in her audience now. One of them might even be a black man.

I agree with you James.

She showed up wanting to be let in after the store was closed. It's very possible they didn't recognised her since in person she doesn't look like she does on the show.

Have you seen her in person?

Destee, don't get me wrong I like Oprah and what she's done with her life, there is a lot to admire.

I've never been to France and don't know anyone who's French, but I would think there reputation for being snotty has to come from somewhere.

However she went to this store after it closed and reading the piece it states the store had an event it was getting ready for. I guess that would be easy to check up on and the store would be crazy to insult a woman of her standing by making up stories.

No, I havent seen her in person. I have seen her on TV when she's done her specials about living as a pioneer in early America and without makeup on she looks entirely different from her show. I can understand that they might not have known who she was.
