Black Relationships : Ok... so I just answered a question about polygamy and had to ask the women...

Thanks MsInterpret..much clearer!

Ok..in my opinion, polygamy would not bring financial harmony to your home or community. Mainly because there are other dimensions that could easily sabatoge your vision..this culture would have to be in the fabric of the women and you would need to have some business relationships that have the same value system. I imagine there isn't a plethora of 'black' women who could successfully be a sister wife...if they don't come from generations or a community of polygamy, eventually, it will fail.

@Kamnikink

To answer you question, I don't think I could do it...Matter of fact I KNOW I wouldn't do it.

Even outside of my Christian beliefs...I am self in nature. I do not want to share. Plus, I'm an only child, it's just not a skill that I learned really well.

And you know I was watching this show called "Sister Wives" about them white mormon women. And they stated that there is jealousy at times in their polygamist family.

Of course if your man and yourself do decide that this is the life you want to lead, and you invite another woman into your bond, you'll be the wife 1 making you top dog, but then what if eventually this other woman (other women) involved gets jealous or vise versa? Do you divorce this woman? Or what if she gets tired of him and finds another man? Would you invite another man into your marriage? And what if your husband enjoys having sex more with this other woman than you?

I'm just trying to figure this out.
