Hotep Brother, We first need to realize that education is attached to economics. Truth be told, when we do not attach education to economic opportunity, we can't expect our people to enroll in our educational programs. This is when it's literally "What's that have to do with the price of bread?" I try to organize people from the streets and sometimes I ask them questions. One youth wore a red, black and green button, so when I asked her of what she did for our race, she told me she 'educated herself' thus implying some advance for our people. Of course, the reality that I explained to her was that there's a lot of self-educated people amongst us, but few institutions that benefit their self-education. For example, you wrote about Ivan Van Sertima's truths on our Mesoamerican experience. But if every Black person knew that--what about it? We really should go direct to what we want: Tulsa, for instance, didn't have Ivan Van Sertima's book, but we want Tulsa. More--I am learning that it's not that our people are 'ignorant' but we are not motivated to be 'brave.' Truth is--I educate people to be wiser than most, but they kowtow to the European everyday. And even our children can tell you that we shamefully depend on Asians and Europeans--but who amongst us has the enterprise to change this? Organizing is hard work. Standing on a corner and stopping people is hard. But that's the necessary work that our people are not doing. So get out there. I tell people that there's only two things that each of us should be doing: Organizing or Supporting an Organization. You would not be surprised but very few of us support any organizations. I just read of a source of income for MLK Jr.'s organization--this informs a lot. Of course--this is off-topic and nothing off-topic can get to the real point. But please stay strong! HTP
Hotep to you too Brother, We first need to realize that education is attached to economics. Truth be told, when we do not attach education to economic opportunity, we can't expect our people to enroll in our educational programs. Are you aware of the fact that some of the African American Universities have already updated with the TRUTH the history curriculum they are teaching [and have come under heavy flak for doing so], whereas isn’t it also very very obvious that the mainstream/status quo would have no vested interest in doing so? This is when it's literally "What's that have to do with the price of bread?" I try to organize people from the streets and sometimes I ask them questions. One youth wore a red, black and green button, so when I asked her of what she did for our race, she told me she 'educated herself' thus implying some advance for our people. Of course, the reality that I explained to her was that there's a lot of self-educated people amongst us, but few institutions that benefit their self-education. For example, you wrote about Ivan Van Sertima's truths on our Mesoamerican experience. But if every Black person knew that--what about it? Are you joking, why are we so blasé about just how polluted with Eurocentric GARBAGE our knowledge base is? Look at how superbly the Japanese people pulled together to cope with the so massive earthquake that would have completely destroyed any other country on this planet, wouldn’t it [they have invested massively in buildings and infarastructure to both protect and cope with massive earthquakes]? Are you aware of the FACT that during WWII the Japanese slaughtered 11 million Chinese people [they have paid $50 billion in reparations in the 1990’s] yet ANY Japanese history teacher who attempts to teach that so easily verifiable fact anywhere in Japan, is immediately FIRED; thus why are WE surprised that our people are socio-economically dysfunctional fron top to bottom when ALL most of us KNOW about our history is Slavery/the most all pervasive longest running collective defeat in human history, as opposed to our so diverse/ongoing contributions to Humaity’s advancement in every area of human activity over the last 5000 years? We really should go direct to what we want: Tulsa, for instance, didn't have Ivan Van Sertima's book, but we want Tulsa. Isn’t the fact that the GAP community of Tulsa is STILL such a brilliant template with regard to succeeding in an extremely hostile environment the reason it was destroyed and so efficiently marginalised by our enemies in the hope that we’ll continue to ignore it? More--I am learning that it's not that our people are 'ignorant' but we are not motivated to be 'brave.' Truth is--I educate people to be wiser than most, but they kowtow to the European everyday. And even our children can tell you that we shamefully depend on Asians and Europeans--but who amongst us has the enterprise to change this? Organizing is hard work. Standing on a corner and stopping people is hard. But that's the necessary work that our people are not doing. So get out there. I taught Maths at a community Saturday school for 5 years, which is where I learned that African History is the more important subject or don’t WE just end up producing clueless AUTOMATONS to serve the system [just look at Obama or around] as opposed to OUR collective advancement? I tell people that there's only two things that each of us should be doing: Organizing or Supporting an Organization. You would not be surprised but very few of us support any organizations. I just read of a source of income for MLK Jr.'s organization--this informs a lot. Of course--this is off-topic and nothing off-topic can get to the real point. But please stay strong! And you Brother, but if we don’t protect our youth’s knowledge base from the Eurocentric GARBAGE we had no choice WE had no choice about ingesting aren’t they bound to be another truly lost, baffled and confused cretins we’re afflicted with? Isn’t anyone who genuinely believes they are not programmed graphically illustrating that their programming is COMPLETE?
Orisons, until we own independent institutions and have a tradition of holding onto them, we'll continue to fight for what we won yesterday. Chancellor William's spoke on American Universities having Black Studies programs. In a nut shell, we fight for them--then White people infiltrate them--then we fight for them to be uninfiltrated--then White people infiltrate them. Until we have independent institutions, there's no reason to become impressed with what we do have. Because it's what we had before! Our ancestors have told us that there's a difference between knowledge and wisdom. That's exactly why we can be blase about mis-education. Sure. But it's not completely ignored. The UNIA mobilized over six million Africans. It started with a membership of 13 people (including Garvey.) We each are powerful. If you know of Tulsa, you can make it. African History is huge. But, to me, while I would not abandon African History, I realize that Community Development is incredibly important. For, you can live in Haiti and know Toussaint very well; but you don't know how to clean a Latrine or filter water. As above, if we knew how to clean Latrines, Filter Water, and heck, employ ourselves, then the base for our historians would be set. But for instance, Dr. Amos Wilson died at the hands of White people; Khalid Muhammad too. That should tell you a lot.
Listen I just want to jump to the chase before I address the first issues you brought out and address your comment about Black women not ever liking White men, you gotta be kidding. You don't recall Queen Hatshepsut and her appointed vizier, that hte pharoahs finally had to deal with...!? I refuse to even go around many of my aunts, cousins, and relatives for this very reason. smh. They attack me and call me 'too Black oriented...' for not liking some of the things they do and say about White relationships...they sit around and watch all kinds of shows with only White people on it and don't see anything wrong with it. They defend their sons and daugthers for dating White women and etc. Oh no, you didn't go there. I don't know how many times I've heard Black woman say they want a White man, or a Puerto Rican man for various reasons, some of which, I do understand though, but still it makes me sick to hear it, as I hear it all the time. Brother you can't be that isolated that you don't know this about our culture in respect to both Black men and women and in how we are confused and made to look up to White people...My CLOSE relative just gave birth to a baby from a White man and she did it behind her first husbands back, of which she had three kids from...my next door neihbors daughter said openly at a graduation party that she wanted a White man, and then few years later when one of my sons got older, she started 'eyeing' him and etc., I told him...stay away!...unless you want to be disrespected in the future and hit broadside...My best girlfriend years back was obsessed with white men and she was a dark beauty who attratted so many Black men...but she was totally obsessed with White men...again, I could go on and on...I don't understand this but one of my male cousins [second cousin] once complained to me about his grandmother [my aunt] and said that 'grandma is slave timey...backwards!!!...' And he was shouting, he was so mad. She and his mother hatd the fact that he was trying to lconnect with Black awareness groups... Every time I used to visit, she would go and get an old photograph of her husbands ancestors, to show me a picture of a White man pictured besides a dark skinned Black woman, as if to say, the White man loves dark skinned women! I'm telling you she did this almost everytime I went to visit her till I just stopped coming around. I know that White men can have an obsession with dark skinned women, I could tell you stories, after stories, after stories...about my own personal experiences...but that doesn't give credit to our situation today...because Black America as you have projected in this youtube, are having some problems with survival. But no, we will never become extinct. When you say, ...Even within these two systems which our people practiced all over the globe, the man never ruled....for even if he had several wives, it was not he that picked her....it was the first wife who picked her.... Polygamy isn't about sex...it's about the foundation of a black household in terms of education, economics, business building, home schooling and growing together. It's about the perpetuation of who we are as a people. You still have not addressed the issue of how White supremacy took place the. If women ruled then what did they do or anyone do to cause us to be under white supremacy. You still haven't address this, nor do I think you ever will. No Black woman [or man] ruler would pick women that could be better or rise above her, so your statements about this should prove to yourself that if this did occur, then suppression became the name of the game...no child could be brought up and develop normally in such an atmosphere like that. Have you read the slave story of Venture and how his African mother ran away from her husand because he brought in other women over her head, and she was the first!!!? She ran away because she was hurt and made desperate,... And I've heard many african women speak against this because of the hardship and favortism that arise and etc. this kind of stuff has destroyed africa. Young people should date, and date, but when it comes to marriage bonds, they should respect them or else, don't get married, just procreate and put out alot of children...!? and polygamy is about sex, power, control and etc. and if Black people want to procreat at alarming rates, they can outside of marriage...but this is the problem and therefore, it is not the foundation of financial stability and everything else you listed but, it is the reason why we are in a muddle in the first place, and some people are scared we might become extinct. You have have a lot of Black people but without a foundation, numbers mean nothing except that we end up filling up the prisons and etc., gettin pawned to go and fight wars for the White man...and then get killed or either, they won't bring em back to their lands and etc. ...but I have yet to see a depiction of a white woman on the throne anyplace in Kemet. Now from 1675 b.c. Kemet was invaded by the Hyksos, ... Well, you just kicked out a whole mess of Black African scholars. Whether or not you want to believe it, but Amen-the-Unifier, [the Scorpion king, the Black bull...Narmer] was a Black man who fought against the Asiatics thousands of years before your date, and them Asiatics infiltrated Kemet, ancient Egypt. Their Asiatic women were there, in Egypt and had been put up, elevated. You don't have to believe that seneferu was guilty of this, but the script is there in addition ot archeology. go ahead and turn a blind eye. When you say, ...and cultural and did not happen until the late 18th dynasties. This is interesting what you said, for if I was a Bible believing person I would have to question why it was okay for all the prophets in there to have several wives and be blessed in the sight of God according to that book, but it's not okay for men to do today. The Bible is a record of many things that happened but it never condoned it. Like me, you've been conditioned to believe some things by White Supremacist ath are just not true. The Pentatuch detialed that them hebrew kings were not suppose to do this, have multiple wives...but that doesn't mean that God was going to throw them down for it, he just let their sin manifest. King David got his but kicked when his sons grew up, because they fought over the throne. Their mothers fought back and competed for their sons to have the throne...and David got his but kicked. Just like Senworset-the-great, his women made a palace plot...and he got himself killed. I know i wouldn't let some foriegn women's son get up on me and my son, and I believe he had some North african Phut Ham wives, and them Black sistas wasn't playing that. uh uh, I know my research on Egypt and then some. Like I said, don't get me started brother. I can go on and on. Ancient Black women have been done in by that eastern poly crap system. If you want to procreate do so, but just don't get married, that's how I see it. When you say, The total truth of the matter is that "there are naturally more women born than there are men...but only the black woman can come up with the answer concerning "what she's going to do in terms of having a black man". Then I say let nature correct itself but not by doing what White people do and cause disruption and exploit marriage bonds. Perhaps there is a reason for the unequalness and i don't believe that it will continue. I believe in quality not quantity and if we work on ourselves we will have wonderful Black bonds. I believe that life is eternal and it is only a matter of time that every positive Black woman will be fulfilled when it comes to love. When you say, The issue is not, "Are Afrakans going to exist"...the issue is "are Africans in America" going to exist? ...it therefore is we who they have targeted to get rid of. I agree that we are being targeted, but I believe that we will exist, no matter what kind of tricks the adversary has against us. Everything sways on us, and no matter how many people come to America, it's all about us, and that what the white supremacist hate so much. So yes, we do need to fight but, we must also believe that we will win.
You mentioned Dr. Diop and I don't want to put him on trial here to skew the message though but want to comment on Rameses II, since you brought him up. I heard someone say in this community [?] that he was zenophobic? Anyway, I do believe that he did things to suppress the nubians--based on my research anyway. yes, I heard he married Nubian women and had them as lesser wives, but his head queen was NOT Nubian!!!? hence, I rest my case about foreign women put overtop Nubian queens. That is a total disrespect. And he outlived most of his 70 or so sons anyway. And speaking to the matrilineal issue, if Rameses II' head queen was the leader then, this too is the problem with the further suppression of the Thebans and the Nubians byway of the Egyptians. The founder of ths dynasty was not Theban from what i remember. And they had problems later on due to all of that mixing...
