What end do you want ... please tell me ... since you're obviously not receiving one that satisfies you. This has happened before ... this is not new ... a Member being accused, and admitting that they've used the work of others. They were not banned. In fact, they were commended for beng honest, and their apology accepted. I'm not responding now, any differently than i've responded in the past, to like situations. I forgive him Sister Destee... forgiveness is never an issue... I'm not thinking any ugly thoughts about Br. Rich.. he's always been nice to me... once i remember my son stole something and i asked him if he did he said yes... i punished him.... my mom decided to grace me with her opinion and tell me i shouldn't punish him because he told the truth... i told her that although i loved him for tellin the truth the fact of the matter is if he would have got caught and arrested there would have been repercutions for what he had done... so although tellin the truth was the right thing to do i had to teach him a lesson that in life some things have consequences regardless if you tell the truth or not... i explained this to him and told him that because he did tell the truth i wouldn't punish him as much as if he told a lie.... how can one learn a lesson if there is no action for the violation.... I respect your decision .... and I appreciate your response.... I'm certain there are many things to be considered here so I'll just leave it there .... much peace honor and respect.....
Sister Miss Lady ... i can respect both schools of thought, your Mother's and yours, as they both have merit. While i'm not a Black Man, i think it says a lot, is a great lesson manifesting before our eyes, when one can admit their wrong, and apologize. I don't think it's real easy for Black Men to do, especially in front of everyone ... people finding joy in his predicament ... and he has to admit guilt. Nawww ... i don't think it's an easy thing for them to do. Matter of fact, you won't find many instances of it in this community. Is there a cost in this to him? Is he paying a price? Rich didnt apologize for plagerism.. he denies it 100%. He simply apologized if it came across that way.. or if he accidentally/unintentionally copied someones work. Khasm provided examples of 4 of richs most recent work. Rich's poem LoveAngel contains 75% of the poem originally entitled "Love for my Angel Chris" by Dawn Eitchen - word for word And we are to believe this is unintentional occurance? happened by chance? perhaps therein lies the problem soo... it appears plagerism is ok as long as when you get caught you say "sorry" for the illusion.. Plagerized items should be removed to maintain the integrity of the site.. or something along those lines..
