Brother That Jones Boy ... i went back and looked a few times, for the specific information or support you were giving to Sister SweetTee in regard to this particular situation she's presented, and i found none. I don't believe you commented specifically on her situation at all. Yet you're talking about what others are not doing, and how it all makes the community look bad. Did i miss the support you gave, or do you consider pointing out what others are not doing, as support for her situation? Destee
I already gave Sweettee A whole set of support and advice through my space, pm, and on another site me and she are both on. It was also I that suggested that she post about her problem here since I figured that maybe some folk here might have some info folk on my site didn't or that since here is about supporting black folk in times of need she might at least find this a good place to share her problem and get some sympathy at least. So no need for me to comment on the sitution itself since I had already done that elsewhere . Swettee was obviously getting a little cross about the lack of responses and things were starting to look like they might get a little over heated so my support was to explain to the other poster that the call out thing was not directed at her personally and to try to avoid any possibilty of a post that was made somewhat at my suggestion did not end up with sweetee getting into fights with other users. As for the other stuff your mentioning thats all good me and you just have a different mind set and approch I could get into all that a whole lot more but as I said its your forum your house and your place so lets just say I apoligize for any breach of conduct you may feel has been committed . And I as the guest in your house will back down apologize and step out. since after all us debating this issue really can't lead to anything other than disturbing your "flow" or "peace" can it.
Brother That Jones Boy ... this is a discussion forum, and we're discussing (in a respectful manner), so i don't see how that can disturb my (the community's) flow or peace ... so feel free to continue if you'd like. You say that Sister SweetTee has already posted this in several different places (your site included), and since it wasn't resolved there, you suggested she post it here. When responses didn't come quick enough, and things began to look "over heated," you felt the need to step in and disparage this community's collective response? Am i understanding you properly? Sister SweetTee only posted this yesterday. What is the acceptable response time for these things? I'm even a little bit more krazee, now that i know she's posted this in other places, and didn't receive satisfactory responses (enough to resolve the problem, and need no further advice or suggestions) ... yet you come here talking about how inadequate our responses are?! I would ask, what about the inadequacy of your site, but i don't really care. I'd much rather you just let us do what we do. Allow a Member to post what ever they'd like, when ever they'd like ... and we'll be thankful for it ... instead of trying to paint us all with some broad brush ... because it's not happening quick enough for you. Considering the above, seems you'd be at your own site, fussing at your own Members for allowing a situation to exist where you'd have to send a Member to a different discussion forum, because it wasn't resolved there. Instead, you're here talking negatively about us. How you gonna talk about what we aren't doing, while at the same time admitting yall couldn't do it?
