Treaty between Morocco and the U.S. http://avalon.law.yale.edu/18th_century/bar1786t.asp I don't know if I mentioned this in here yet, but I've always been intrigued by Benjamin Banneker and his connection with the Dogon, Moors, and Masons.......I know a brother did a lecture on youtube about it, but there are not many books that really go in depth about Banneker.....or at least the ones I've run across...........
I have a chapter in my new book entitled; Invader or Savior? This chapter deals with the Moors and the difference in "how white people saw it in relationship to how they were living and how our people saw it". What our people of the past did not understand about them was that white people came from and existed in a culture of Coprophilia, which is defined as being “the love of filth and feces”. So regardless of the improvements that the Moors established, the truth of the matter is that those white people loved the way that they were living and the invasion of the Moors was looked at as an invasion. An invasion that was stripping them of what white people culturally regarded as part of their lives, who they were and how they were living. Anytime a people can regard fleas, ticks, mice and other vermin as "their best friend", you dam right they considered the Moors as nothing but invaders. So much so, that when the Moors were defeated, they made the Moors that were still there "stop washing, wear the filthy clothes that they wore, change their names and language". sources; The Moors in Spain by Stanley Poole and Dirt, a Social History as Seen Through The Uses and Abuses of Dirt by Terrence McLaughlin.
OMG! I never heard of that word, "coprophilia" nor do i understand how it would only apply to just White people especially because some Black people bonded with them and cleaved to their ways and practices [of which you even mentioned in other post] but, based on my research, I heard of another term that goes along with 'the practices' you have described. so even though, I'm grossed out, I have heard of this and agree.
