Black-King, You may not know, that it was the African man that created boxing. In acient Africa we created the contest of fighting with wrapped hands in a match against one an other for the masses to sheer on. It's our practice to encourage our warriors to fend their stills in warrior fighting arts.
Okay Black-King - you got it mixed up - the ancient Nubian, Egyptians and the mysterious Hebrews wrestled, boxed and did them as a sport. Let us not forget the fictitious Hebrews aka a sect of Egyptians knew of these arts. I think a picture can say a thousand word so let look at what they had going on. The frist true depiction of wrestling was found in Old Kingdom tomb of P`tah Hotep 2300 B.C. and you can find more are even as far as to the New Kingdom 2000-1085 B.C. Please Note: Heliodorus spoke later about it in concerns to the Nubian.s aka Noub.t - Boxing? Boxing was also found in the tomb of P`tah Hotep in Saqqara and also in the tomb of Mer.i Ra - which goes back thousands of years as well. Martial Arts, MMA, Boxing, etc ... have been around for thousands of years and its not a slave sport. Stick fighting like wrestling and boxing has been going on for thousands of years including in ancient Egypt and you still see that practice done in different parts of Africa These sports are not sports of slavery - and they cannot be called sports of slavery - though slave master entertained themselves with these sport - it was a choice and not an artistic creative mentality that got them to be entertained by it. I own a website that deals with this boxing, mma, kickboxing, etc ... I created and I interview fights and so forth. There is no way I would have allowed or accept these sports as something I do as a part of my past-time to be of slavery origins. www.eliteknockoutsports.com
