    ....Also, I think you're about 23/24 y/o.

    So, a "mixed-race" TX birth in 1984 can't compare to a half-Black/half-White birth in 1958 in GA.

    Those are 2 totally different ballparks.

    Well then, your father's birth certificate either says "NEGRO" or "BLACK" on it.

    In 1984, the state of TX wasn't concerned with whether your father was "HALF-BLACK" or not.

    If he told them he was a BLACK man at the hospital when you were born, then that's what they put on the records/forms.

    That what I thought that they'd only let him choose black cause even though he's mixed he's not very white looking - so I guess in the USA all my records probably have me down as being black too in that case? - all my records here have me down as mixed cause its an allowable category over here.

    And it's also possible that your parents deliberately/purposely opted to leave YOUR "race" unlisted on your birth certificate because they didn't want you "labeled."

    Again, more questions for your father.
