I think they need to include the fact that the Muslims offer it's members protection from the gangs in prison. It's not a stretch to say that many people join them for that protection.. coincidentally.. that's the same reason that people say they join other prison gangs. You have to throw that in there.. paint the whole picture.
No doubt but there are many brothers that have become Muslims in prison after studying Islam and have stayed Muslims strong and firm after getting out.You always have your other side as well as in anything but I prefer to dwell on the postive.We all know about Imam Jamil[former H.Rap brown] who was introduced to Islam in prison and Brother Malcolm and there are many more.
