lol - that's because i was being metaphoric. you don't have to dumb down for me jamesfrmphilly.

Is this thread meant as an insult by calling posters 'know it alls' (excluding yourself of course) and mocking what they post about?

They said our blackness was a curse
and called us 3/5 of a man
but if our blackness is a curse
why do they risk their lives to get 3/5 of a tan

I didn't have anyone to explain that my skin is a bagde of honor, I had to find them. This is not a story of woe, because I am soon becoming well versed in my history, my children will know who they are. But from this small glimpse of my humble life, how many more of my generation can you infer are so ill informed? Or just don't care?

Excellent insight. Our psychology can be gleaned from your experiences, please share more.
