Blacks today have dominated nearly every sport with elegant, discreet and beautiful submissive passion for the game, which have a commanding influence on the sport blacks as you can see are moreso an impact for the sport much better fit and talented we just don't do Hockey but there are a few blacks who have broken into this sport......Yes i agree time have change !
One of the Celtics teams a few years ago had only one or two non black players on their roster I just don't remember exactly what year it was. The NBA went the furthest because it only has a team roster of 12 players and it also was one of the first to have blacks as coaches and general managers as well as the large numbers of high school players drafted out of high school, mostly of whom have been black. When the NBA merged with the old ABA and free agency became widespread this brought an influx of Black players into the NBA. That's why when I first read that article my thinking was that it is seriously dated. I will explain in another post.
As far as the NBA and the quota system is concerned, I'm not sure about this because one of the first teams to have a high percentage if Black players was the Boston Celtics. Every Celtic team which won a championship from the 60s on had at least one Black future Hall of Famer. Their teams had mostly Black starters as have virtually every NBA championship team since, regardless of the city.
The Celtics 2010 roster only had one white player who saw any action. Brian Scalabrine. They drafted two others, one from Turkey but they were heavy on the bench. Boston had up to 20 players on their roster that year. Very deep team. I remember this was when I first started rooting for the Celtics against the Lakers which amounts to treason but it was hard not to like all them brothers on that team.
nah, this is the '93 roster that i posted and the entire team is listed in the post. They were actually calling them the Ni--erbockers. I knew there was some name the fans were calling them and i had to call a friend to find out what it was.....
