Dr King would know exaclty where we go from her after his meeting with Malcolm, and from here meaning 2012 He first would expect us to be forward thinking He would look at a Washington an administration of color that has allowed corporate greed and power to hold sway over the decisions that should have been made by the electorate. He would look at the Black community and have plans and strategies to supplement and acty as a safety net for the many advances and achievements the civil rights struggle had won for millions of Black folks all over the nation. He would look at how once white only civil service jobs are now being abolished just as many in the Black community have pulled themselves and others in the community up out of perovety and hopelsssness, via such employment. he would look at how public housing that had provided economicaly challenged sisters and brothers an alternative to the cold water flats and rat infested tenement buildings, run by absentee and crroked landlords, is now being abolished and sold as condominiums for whites He would look at how genetically modified foods are being pumped into our communites and wonder why a GM man now sits at the head of the Food and Drug Andministration He would look at a school system that has returned to seperate, no problem with seperate but now no way near equal for Black children. He would then before maiking any plans or strategies, commend those small groups dong this here and this there, but ask the main question "where is the national Black unity and collective concern? if all of the Black community is catching hell, why would they be catching more hellthen when I was alive, especialy now with a trillion dollar spending power, and a communications technology that neither I nor Malcolm had"
He would understand us not getting involved in the occupy movement in light of the military detention legislature, and the big difference between us "filling the jails" back then from protest, to the jials being filled with mostly us today. However he would encourage us to use the power of boycotting to express our collective righteous indignation about Wall street
Dr King was a Christian minister, who by example forced negro Christian ministers to become Black and true Christian ministers, concerned for the community
