The brother I spoke is Mr. Trevor Wright, and he owned his merchandise printing company for 22 years, but took time off to do a real estate project back home in Jamaica. Needless to say he decided to return and reopen his business which he only did 2 weeks ago. It took me some time to locate him because I had an old address and phone number for his business, so I had to tunnel through a network to find him at home. The bottom line is this: There is a setup cost per graphic and it depends on how many colors are on the tee shirt. There is no minimum order The more colors the higher the price, The higher quantity, the lower cost per unit Turn around time is 2 - 3 weeks. So, before I book time to go and see the merchandise and inspect the material, I thought that I would confirm how many graphics we planned to use, (I'll negotiation the setup costs) and confirm the amount of colors used in them. I can meet with him possibly next wednesday or thursday. My baby is jumping all over my lap, making computer work kinda hard right now, but I'll check out the meeting info from yesterday and await everyone's reply
In the Spirit of Sankofa and Update! Progress Report The GroupThink Project-Group held it’s 24th meeting, April 9, 2009. The (GT) meeting was promptly called at 10:00 AM Eastern and concluded at 11:00 AM Eastern. In attendance and on the mic for GT were brown_hornet, ang-EL and Clyde C. Coger, Jr. Family members in attendance were Da Street So’ja, Remby, KWABENA and oldiesman. After April 15th, Mario (1999) will be available to spend time ramping up the perpetual newsletter, in addition, Sister VIDALIFE; will also work with Sister Zulile toward that goal. With the newsletter in production, so to speak, our main focus continues to be jump-starting the T-Shirt program. Family members have begun to inquire about T-Shirts and some are anxious to promote Destee.com in a big way, thank you Bro $$RICH$$ for posting those questions to the feedback thread. Brother brown_hOrnet’s mother is providing a black business glossary that can be uploaded on the Internet. This will enable our Community to participate in the Ebony Experiment. GT members, thanks to Sister Destee, the GroupThink Project-Group now has a private forum, which is located beneath our regular forum on the index page. Feel free to post or deposit sensitive materials in this private forum. Destee has also agreed to allow banners and matters of solicitations on the front page of the Site. All such postings must meet Destee’s approval. Related basic agenda items were discussed but without the necessary quorum to reach any consensus based resolutions. A007’s push for deadline dates will be address by our next regular schedule meeting. It was decided to slow down our forward thrust, and concentrate on determining a winner in the book Title selection program. Our primary focus at this point should go in the direction of the Newsletter, T-Shirts and selecting a book Title, which awards the winner with 3 mos. of Premium Membership. Starting with the basic agenda, our work, to determine consensus-based resolutions, has begun. We need to weight in on the INTRODUCTION: Why Studying the Origins of Racism is Helpful to our People, and the questions: What is Racism? What is and isn't Racism? and Definitions of Racism (http://destee.com/forums/showpost.php?p=541305&postcount=51). The ideal approach for consensus reaching is over the mic, however, your input at the Reports/Feedback thread also accomplishes this task. This first step is a very significant one, and will lay the foundation for the book. GroupThink is narrowing in on a successful T-Shirt program, the newsletter is fast becoming a reality and source material for the homegrown publication continues in the forward stage, in spite of attendance and quorum requirements for consensus based resolutions, somewhat untenable. Related basic agenda items were discussed with an understanding to push away from the issue of racism, the degree to which our focus strays from the mental liberation of our people, kudos to sister phynxofkmt for raising the issue. Unfortunately, deadlines dates, as depicted by A007 were not discussed nor a consensus reached, and is automatically tabled for the next meeting. Forgive Me. I am writing to let all GT members know that I will no longer be participating in the GT project as an active member. Please accept my apology for any and all inconvenience my resigning may cause. I am optimistic that you will continue without falter and succeed beyond measure. The reason for my departure is somewhat personal and no doubt incendiary, so I will not post it here in order that there are no hard feelings left behind. If the group still would like my chapter as an addendum (The Origin of Racism) then I will be more than happy to supply it when called upon. You all have by best wishes, support, and love.
