they don't see color
when they play
they're just
boys

Tom and Jon
bound by
their love of

scooters,
digimon
lizards,
basketball
soccer
super mario
bikes,
sword-fighting
star-gazing
on summer nights...

and each other

they just don't see
color
when they
walk to the
bus stop
together
every day

and they fight for
each other
at any unkind word
hurled their way

Tom, the tow~headed
Jon, my nappy~headed

just boys

I pray
they keep
their childhood
love for what
they have in
common

and stay
this way

and a little child shall lead them. the bible tlaks of how we should love GOD in the love of a child for they have no color barriers and no preconceived notions. they allow the liking of material things to determine how they react to others. this is such a wonderful place to be and to live. i pray they shall never have to occur the difference in their colors...

speak the words GOD gives you poetess and we shall listen...
