Black Spirituality Religion : First Slave Ship Was Named Jesus!

I'm not attacking you I'm just telling the truth --You're not making any sense.

What does a slave ship named Jesus have to do with Jesus Christ other than their shared name?

Assuming you REALLY want the answer to this question (which we all know that you don't  ):

The issue lies in the fact that Christianity was used as the main tool (as it always is) to subjugate, and control and defeat our people, for the purpose of making them into labor chattle.

The punktified, docile, passive JESUS that contemporary Christianity presents (in the form of a white picture) is the image that we are taught to aspire to; in contrast to the Androgenous Male that the white man worships and respects, as a part of his mythology.

To pretend that there is no connection between slavery and Christianity is ludicrous, when history has shown us that every conquered nation and/or people in the New World, had been done so with the Bible in one hand, and a gun in the other of the conquerer.

What is this habit of yours, of throwing totally irrelevant statements at people, that had nothing to do with what they had originally said?

The difference between these cultures (show and prove that these "Egyptians" practiced slavery), is that they did not use their religions as a means of justification for these acts.

However, Romans and Greeks are the precursors for the people who enslaved Blacks in the west, so that is a null and void point.

Speaking of "null and void points", please demonstrate what your point of even responding here is. I spoke about the psychological mechanism that Jesus represents, and you rant off about slavery in the Sudan.

One instance has nothing to do with the other.

If the point is only that a slave ship was named Jesus then all that means is that there was a slave ship named Jesus and nothing more.

- What point are trying to argue here Oceolo??
- what exactly is your purpose in this thread if you have nothing to offer on "The Good ship Jesus"??

- I asked you have you ever heard of it and/or the story behind the ship itself. Try reading all of what our beautiful sister has posted, then search for yourself to see what YOU come up with........Instead of seeing the name Jesus & going into a hypnotic defensive stance as if this is somehow a post against your faith..........

Imagine if you will though, the slaves on board this ship just arriving on this strange land, amongst strange people and those slaves seeing the ship sailing away..........wouldn't you fall to your knees and pray for "The good Ship Jesus" to come back for YOU???
