Being violent isn't a pre-requisite for being considered backwards, but I guess we can pretend that hate crimes against homosexuals don't occurr.
I wasn't saying violence is a pre-requisite I was using stoning as an example of a backward punishment. Tell me, whats backwards then - it being taboo?
I don't consider that backward to be honest. Each to his own though. Personally it will never be normal to have a puff next to me, especially not a black one. I wouldn't want it flaunted in my childrens faces either giving them the impression that its optional.
