Here is an excellent alternative recipe for cornbread for those who are in the N.O.I or follow HOW TO EAT TO LIVE
2 Cups of Cream of Wheat
1 Cup of Flour
1/2 Cup of Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon of Salt
1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
2 Eggs
2 Cups of Milk
Oil and butter to place in skillet
Mix all ingredients together.
Heat Oven to 350 degrees. Place a small amount of oil in butter in cast iron skillet,place in oven until butter is melted. Once butter is melted,make sure pan is well coated, and pour off excess into batter,and mix gently. Pour batter into cast iron skillet,and bake at 350 for 40 minutes
