Well, I've never seen a brown color that dark. And, I don't see anything wrong with the color of the lady's skin in the picture Brother Clyde posted.
My eyes are seeing something different from you in all due respect.

It's impossible for all of us to unite because each people have their own cultures, Laws, beliefs and ideals. We can respect each other and live around one another, but uniting as one peoplethat won't happen.

As Brother Clyde pointed out, she has various hues of color in her skin and is wearing a black scarf, which clearly shows that her skin isn't black as there is a difference. Also, if you study melanin you will find that no one can truly be black. And technically speaking, no one can be white...everyone has pigmentation in their skin which eliminates white as a color, however, we use these terms to describe us and that's all they are terms.

I think it is a good thing that we can't be described as easily....how superior we are to have so many shades in our lineage that any description with words doesn't do us any justice. So when I say we are not Black..can't be Black...I say that with my head held high just as the lady in the picture.

Whoa, hold up sister. Your head should be high. I've not spoken one word of embarrassment or being ashamed of the LADY.
Im speaking of a color. A color I see. I stated that there is nothing wrong with the color, lets not get it twisted. The color black shows different hues on different textures. So, the scarf and her skin would not reflect the same hue. There are black clothes that you can't wear together because of the dyes on the textures of the fabrics. No I've not studied melanin and I take your word for what it states.
And about being called Black..it doesn't bother me. I answer to my name as a human being. IM A PROUD MEMBER OF THE BLACK RACE. That is a thing that white society has attached to our race and we should ignore it. And get on about the business of UNITY!

Right Butterfly, I didn't mean to imply that you had a negative tone in your reply and if that is the impression I gave, I apologize. I was attempting to speak to the fact that no one can possibly be Black, and tried to submit information that supports that statement. From reading prior posts, it is evident that some folks had a problem accepting this fact, so in light of that, I was also outlining that by stating we are not Black in the literally sense, well it's a good thing...so me holding my head up is me embracing this as a test for myself as well;).
