True that, isn't any Black web community a microcosm of the National Black community? So why has it taken so long to create the village? Not you personally, cause, I have never seen you say a nasty thing since I have been here or any disengenuous statements, but surly something could be accomplished with 1000 out of 16,000. We seem to be very good at pointing out the problem (regarding things we can change) but like Dr Francis Cress Welsing said we discuss the problem so long that just before we come to a consensus of a solution, we're back to talking about the problem again. I come here as a faceless, nameless, identity less, ideology, defending nothing, but the ideology of Black Nationalism and Pan Africanism, that predicates we stop, looking for petty differences and unite to take some action if not just a serious and methodical discussion of the myriad problems the Black commmunity faces and eventually but definately come to a collective conclusion and solution. While the National Black community is burning slowly, how long do we continue to talk about; the color of the fire, the smell of the things burning, how high the fire is, what the temperature of the fire is, before we devise a methodology to put the fire out, with extinguishers were needed and water?
AS A CHILD , I WAS CONSTANTLY REWARDED..... FOR DOING WHAT I WAS TOLD , BRINGING HOME GOOD GRADES , MY CHORES , AND KEEPING MY MOUTH SHUT TO WHAT I SAW THE GROWN MEN IN MY FAMILY DO BEHIND THEIR WIVES BACKS.... IT WAS EASY TO DO....I ALWAYS HAD MY MIND ON FIGHTING LIKE ALI , RUNNING LIKE O.J. , SHOOTING LIKE DR. J. , TAKING IT TO THE MAN LIKE SHAFT OR JIM BROWN , AND TELLING A JOKE LIKE RICHARD PRYOR.... I ALSO GREW UP AROUND A LOT OF PARTIES AND A LOT OF DRUGS.... SO.....LYING , GAME , INFIDELITY , AND NOT GIVIN A D*MN ALSO CAME EASY WHEN I REACHED MANHOOD.........I WAS 24 WHEN I TURNED THAT AROUND , SO , TRUE RESPONSIBILTY I HAD TO GROW INTO.... SINCE THEN , I FAILED AT : 1) BEING A BETTER FATHER 2) BEING A BETTER LISTENER 3) BEING A MORE CONSIDERATE ADULT TOWARDS OTHER CHILDREN 4) BEING A BETTER MAN SHARING , PROVIDING , COMPROMISING , & GIVING WAS NEVER AN ISSUE... PRINCIPLES , LIMITATIONS , & FAITH HAS HELPED ME TREMENDOUSLY......THO I KNOW I CAN ALWAYS IMPROVE... THERE'S THREE YOUNG MEN WHO LOOKED UP TO ME IN THE 80'S....TWO ARE LOCKED UP WITH THE 3RD ON HIS WAY TO JOIN THEM.... THO I NEVER SAID NO TO THEM , THEY WATCHED ME LIE TO WOMEN , SMOKE WEED , BEAT UP WHITE MEN WHO PROVOKED ME (that i don"t regret) , AND PURSUE NOTHING OF IMPORTANCE.... I LET THEM DOWN.....AND I LIVE WITH THAT , THO THEY STILL RESPECT ME TO THIS DAY FOR WHAT I DID DO FOR THEM , I COULD HAVE AND SHOULD HAVE DONE & TAUGHT MUCH MORE.... AS A MAN , & A BROTHA , A WILL FOR UNIFICATION IS SOMETHING I INTEND TO KEEP.... WARRIOR
My collective failures have been that I have given up working with ego driven knuckleheads on two separate occasions and both those collectives have fallen apart. Other wise I have done well on my own, instructing other, in ways of survival!
