Haven't you heard??....'low level' is 'human' concept. ;) Besides, if the images are 'nothing', then getting rid of them shouldn't be a problem.

The Images where introduced as a cover otherwise they would have been killed..keeping the images as is, a way to honor their ancestors who gave thier all to preserve the religon.

I will never understand why an Afrikan would use YTpedia. It is so obviously a part of the white status quo.

I understand and respect the history, but the philosophy behind keeping them alive is something else. For me, it's no different than walking into a Black church and seeing white Jesuses plastered all over the place; there is undue energy being given to that, and it would have to be playing with the subconscious mind at some level. We adopted a lot of habits to survive during times of overt oppression; and while it may not be advisable to criticize our ancestors for doing what they felt they needed to THEN, we, NOW, have an obligation to take it to the next level and restore our dignity. Otherwise we keep floundering at the same level of unnecessary struggle and low self-respect----this isn't why, in my mind, the ancestors would have fought to keep the tradition. But, I'll investigate for myself. Thanks for the input though.
