yeah, Halle was the main one I was thinking about too. she irks my nerves honestly, but I try to be mature and find the good in her too. but even the roles she chooses (gothika, monster's ball, introducing dorothy dandridge) all subliminally portray the Black men she is coupled with as abusive or otherwise distasteful and the white men as, even if not ideal, one she obviously prefers....even in playing dorothy dandridge, the script was written to glorify the white man who allegedly stuck by her side all those years and obviously was meant to be taken as a romantic story of his undying, unrequited love for "Dorothy"....now, we don't know how true this was to the real, living Dorothy, so I put "Dorothy" to refer to the film version of the lady

Interestingly, I just stumbled upon this link where apparently Rihanna has been doing concerts costumed as "Cleopatra", with the eye of Ra/Horus/Sekhmet in the background, along with Pyramids and male dancers dressed as pharoahs...what is she trying to say, I wonder???

    The slideshow is here

More illuminati symbolism and it's getting to the point where it's blatant, no one is hiding it now. That tells me a lot about what's getting ready to go down in the US or maybe even around the world. I find it sad but relevant that Beyonce (who was mentioned in the previous threads) and Rihanna are being stuffed down our throats, along with the imagery, it shows that we are asleep because truly no one is complaining about it.

We still down load their music, look at their videos and try to copy their make up, hair and style of dress. So, my question is if we do all of that, and I use the term "we" loosely do we become their slaves such as these men in this part of her show? I think many are and many do so willingly, not understanding or even comprehending what price it is they truly have to pay.

Ase' I have to say I can see your POV.

As a spiritual teacher and guide I believe it is my and others who follow a path like mine, responsibility to speak the truth and nothing but the truth, straight up and unencumbered. Our daughters, friends, mothers, aunts, communities deserve this approach. We have been manipulated by the media for decades, we have been enslaved for many, many, many, years, we are hurting, confused and floundering. Again, I use the term "we" loosely. It is my duty to be of service to my community, whom ever that community may be comprised of. For me Oshun, the Orisha are the foundation of my life. I would not disrespect my Orisha by linking them with the energy of any woman on this earth that did not display those specific qualities in a positive manner or who didn't represent them period.

I am proud to say that as black women our ancestors believed in the power of community and family and how to commune with nature. Not to go against it. But to align with it and the Orisha align with nature, family and community. Women who display themselves such as these women do, Bey and riri, are not.

It is my responsibility to tell the truth as it is being shown to me. The truth for me as I see it with any of these celebrity black women is that we need to go in the opposite direction. I am not concerned about young girls not wanting to hear the TRUTH. Yes it is true that they have been allowed to sit in front of you tube, television, buy the posters, wear the t-shirts, sing the songs etc., maybe their moms even sing the music, pop their booties and profuse that "women rule the world!" My concern is that we have been asleep for so long that we need a different perspective thrown at us like an ice bath!

Having been ordained and initiated into 3 earth based spiritual practices, having been trained in the women's mysteries, having been taught the various tools to guide, enlighten and empower, I would not, could not teach in a cloak and dagger manner. It needs to be put out on the table like a spread for all to feast their eyes upon to LEARN the difference.

Yes, it is true that you can lead a horse to water but you can not make them drink. It's all choice. If those who are thirsty enough for the information they will drink. Those that feel they are already full will walk away. That is the beauty of free will. I don't take it upon myself to liberate those who do not know they are enslaved, including any self serving celebrity.

Again, I am not judging you by any means. I commend you for wanting to put the truth about OSHUN out into the community. However, you and I just have different perspectives on how to get that done.

    Ase...

Ase Sista/Iya...I agree with everything you've said. See, this is why I stated earlier I have a love/hate relationship with the Image of Beyonce projected to our young women....I am divided and conflicted on this subject, which obviously means I have more meditation and clearing to do to hear the True, steadfast voice, unwavering.

There is one part of me that has her head nodding vigorously and is putting her fist up in COMPLETE agreement with everyhting you've said, especially the parts in bold I've quoted

Yet, there is another part of me with her rose-colored glasses on saying meekly "yes, but maybe we can help them another way" which is the way I spoke of before that you imply is cloak-and-dagger which, perhaps it is but I didn't think of it as such.

So...*sigh* I will meditate on my approach more. I understand everyone WILL not and CAN not be saved and many more still weren't MEANT to be saved. But me being the little bleeding heart that I am, sometimes I blind myself to that harsh truth and drain all of my energy trying to help and save those undeserving/unappreciative. It is a Karmic bind I'm trying to free myself from daily as I see I continuously sacrifice my own needs against the wisdom of my First Mind by always trying to help those that step on me or don't even appreciate it or need it. I guess this is the case here to a different degree (i.e. trying to "save" young girls and teach them about Oshun/Orisha/Ifa through the guise of a subject-- pop culture-- that would interest them and that they relate to)...but I guess it's either in you to begin with in some innate, subconscious seed of light, or you were never meant to have the light anyway. In other words, if it's no already in you to perk your ears up at the sound of African Spiritual concepts (I started my awakening at the age of 11 having read Malcolm X and Assata Shakur's biographies and studying about Sekhmet and Islam even though i grew up in a strict Christian/Baptist household....it was already IN me to stray to my true path from that brainwashing even that young), instead of the sound of Beyonce, then I guess you deserve to be lost. If that makes sense.

I hear you and at the same time I have a question. This is something I have wondered about for some time.

If the imagery projected is rooted in ancient Kemetic symbolism how then can this be equated with "Illuminati" symbolism?

I ask this question keeping in mind some Blackroots science teaching concerning activation of DNA strands and the possibility that some among us may actually be resurrected (or Re-Incarnated entities) as all this was prophesized by various Elders and Teachers within the past 100 years beginning with Noble Drew Ali and the MSTA.

I will explain why I ask the question. A few months ago I was tweeting and posting to a blog a number of the so called hip hop illuminati videos including an interview with Jay Z. One of the videos showed a slide with some pics of Jay sitting on what was supposed to be a throne with Beyonce standing near him in typical Osisirs/Ausar Isis/Auset fashion. It got me thinking what is Satanic about that? Wow. It now got me thinking about going back and checking out some old X Clan videos. haha!

Love it! I agree there is nothing illuminati about that per se. But it's when they start including all the other symbols that it gets sticky. But I think it's a great idea to check out the symbolism and see what is and what isn't and then paint a different picture.

    Love the way you think!
