Some Latinos do not acknowledge their African roots and some do. ....Just goes to show how "Self Hate" is manifested across the Diaspora. Cuz "White is right" and Black is negative and foul and dirty and anything that does not represent White society is unacceptable. For me, if they claim me, then I'll claim them. But, I know some Puerto Ricans and other Hispanic groups who considered themselves as "White" not of any Black heritage at all.

Sure brother Clyde, I’ll try, As you know all Latin-American nations used a scale of color gradation, from the darkest to the lightest, instead of the one drop rule. This was for separating the people, divide and conquer. But all the people intermixed in all the ways possible. Native with Africans, native with Euros and all three. Some Indians from India, Koreans, Chinese , Yews, Arabs and any thing under the sun. So that if your parent was African and they had children with another race, the children were no longer Africans. They no longer spoke an African languish or practiced an African religion. Same for all the others. You were no longer a Spaniard, nor a Native American. So that now a day people call themselves by their nationality.
