    But this is what gets me about science, even if the God particle isn't found, this would only "open the door to new fundamental understanding" of how the universe works... lol, this could be never ending.

    I noticed that as well. If they had already proved the existence of the God Particle, why all the premature media hype? I suspect, tomorrow, we will find out nothing we did not already know, et al, that scientists have measured effects of what they believe to be the God Particle, but have not measured the actual particle itself. Which means this is all a PR campaign to justify the billions of USD already spent. They have to provide something after all the ubiquitous defense from the scientific community praising the obscenely expensive LHC.
