Ok....excuse me for asking by why is this included in a thread on African SLAVE Revolts? Perhaps it would be better placed in a thread on African resistance Movements because the Ethiopians were NEVER enslaved by europeans. peace
Good point....But, I was going more with the "what they DON'T teach you part." Still, this is African history that is an example of the resistance we, as a people, have done with European invasion.

It was with a passion for freedom we said NO! to slavery and waged an ( 80) eighty year war with Engand for freedom, Independence, Sovereignty, and the right to Govern our self, winning the 1739 British Maroon Blood Treaty. Since 1739 we have not fully exercise our BLOOD won right until NOW. We have just live in our freedom. Today more than 300 years later we make an appeal to our African brothers and sister to assist us in the preservation of our rich cultural identity. We were carry-beyond in the Caribbean Sea. We have not forgotten our homeland of Ghana..Ashanti's where is our fighting spirit. I've noticed an overwhelming number of such stories. While I know that many are likely attributed to Stockholm Syndrome, I wonder how many are actually clever, white propaganda - meant to evoke behavior modeling and a sense of defeat/hopelessness within Black people.
