Hi all, I was wondering what is the best process to dread relaxed hair. My hair is relaxed and I'm tired of having straight hair. I'm hair is pretty long so I don't want to cut it. Also it is not super straight when its wet. It is only in one small section that it is super straight.
So, is there any recommendations I should do before dreading it or anything I should know.
Also what is the best process to get them to lock? Can I even get dreads!?

I have locs 13+ years. Have taken natural hair classes. Your relaxed hair may not be ready for starter dreads, but you can get that dread look, until your hair is ready. Try a 2 strand twist with lock gel, let dry, and pull apart with fingers. Do not comb.
There are some (natural) hair stylist that will use gel and (make) locs using massive amounts of gel dried into your beautiful locks of hair.
