You have a very rare horoscope, oldsoul, which means that you are a very unique individual. Being a triple Sagittarian means that Sagittarius is your Sun-sign, your Moon-sign and your rising sign. The odds of being born with a cosmic signature in one sign are 156-1...

I have Sag rising and Moon in Sag (Double Sag) and have a majority of planets in the 9th house... I got more Sag energy than anything else in my chart. I can see it too! People always think I am Sag rather than a Leo Sun sign.

Peace data, and welcome. You are a Leo with the Moon in Sagittarius and Sagittarius rising. You would be a double Sagittarian if your Sun was in Sagittarius and your natal Moon was in Leo...

Thas right. Thanks for the insyght. Technically and tradtionally, only luminaries are viewed in that sense, but it was more a reference to the fact that I'm actually an overdose of Sag energy as I have 4 configurations in the 9th house plus two Sag planets and an ascendant in Sag. Sorry, I was not clearer.

oldsoul:

I have re-created the Heavens for the exact moment of your birth and your nativity shows that you were born with the Sun in Sagittarius, the Moon in Sagittarius, and your time of birth gives you Sagittarius rising. Thus you are a triple Sagittarian! You have a very rare horoscope, oldsoul (the odds of being born with a cosmic signature in one sign are 156-1), which means that you are a very unique individual. Here are the planetary delineations:

oldsoul
December 9, 1950

Chicago, IL

Your natal Sun is 16 degrees Sagittarius.
Very fun-loving, spirited and energetic, you have a huge reservoir of physical energy within you that needs to be released. As such, exercise or sports are very important to you. Quite gregarious, you enjoy being with other people, but you tend to avoid emotionally restrictive or intimate relationships. Constantly curious about the broader issues of life, you may at times be quite careless and sloppy about details...you tend to leap to conclusions before all the facts are in. An avid reader, you are totally enthusiastic about any given subject should it interest you. You are known for being idealistic, generous, sociable, cheerful, and very positive!

Your natal Moon is 19 Degrees Sagittarius.
An idealist, you prefer the grand, the beautiful, the good and the noble. You get very disappointed when your high expectations in life are not met. Very curious by nature, you enjoy traveling and learning about other peoples and cultures. Try to avoid your tendency to ignore the small but important details of living. You are independent and free, and you want others to be that way too. Optimistic, buoyant and cheerful, others like to have you around. You have an incessant desire to learn as much as possible about metaphysics, religion, philosophy and any other broad, deep subject. Your life tends to be punctuated by bursts of energy and frenetic activity.

Your Ascendant (rising sign) is 28 degrees Sagittarius.
You are known for being open, frank, outgoing and honest. At times, though, you are also blunt and quite indiscreet. Others have to learn not to take everything you say personally, because you usually do not mean any harm. You appreciate living your life in a straightforward and simple manner...you dislike social niceties and consider them to be hindrances to real communication. You have lots and lots of energy and tend to become quite restless if you feel confined. You demand the freedom to do as you choose...you must be self-directed or you feel trapped and anxious. With your abundant energy, you enjoy being outdoors, and you should be attracted to physical exercise or to those sports that can help you burn off some of that excess energy. Very gregarious, you love to socialize...your innate enthusiasm livens up any gathering.

Mercury is 6 degrees Capricorn.
You are a careful thinker, very cautious and conservative. You are quite skillful at organizing, directing and planning activities. Practical and useful things interest you...you are not attracted to abstract thoughts or ideas. With your tendency to be highly focused and very goal-oriented, you have a good head for business. But beware of a tendency to be narrow-minded and dogmatic. Your sense of humor tends toward being earthy and slapstick crude.

Venus is 23 degrees Sagittarius.
You are very aware of the need to maintain a high sense of morality in a relationship. Your loyalty and interest will remain constant in any relationship (either friendly, personal or business) that is based on fairness, honesty and justice. But you will become greatly hurt and disappointed if the other person takes any but the high road with you. Also, you cannot tolerate anyone being overly emotionally possessive of you. You are known for your friendly, outspoken manner.

Mars is 25 degrees Capricorn.
Extremely ambitious, you are willing to work very hard to reach the goals you have set for yourself. Very practical, cautious and conservative, you demand tangible results for your efforts. You need to excel in whatever you do, and you have the required sense of responsibility, dedication and self-discipline to bring it about. Beware of your tendency to judge others only by their degree of status and prestige, or by how well they will be able to advance you in your climb to the top.

Jupiter, your life ruler and ruling planet, is 1 degree of Pisces.
You are at your best when you give of yourself and what you have...try to avoid being a martyr about it, though. You're a true idealist, but you must learn not to be upset when life does not cooperate with the way you think things should be. Very concerned with spiritual truth and growth, when you practice what you preach, you make an excellent role model for others. You are so devoted to altruistic ventures and concerns that you tire easily at times. It then becomes necessary for you to go off by yourself to recharge your batteries.

Saturn is 1 degree of Libra.
Although you take quite a while to make decisions, you usually consider all sides to a question, all the pros and cons, and the solution you come up with is very often the correct one. You tend to be very reserved and shy, but, once you make a commitment to someone (in either a business or personal relationship), the partnership is forever. You have a strong sense of justice and fair play and greatly respect the laws and institutions by which you are governed. As such, you are outraged when others break laws or show contempt for authority.

Uranus is 8 degrees Cancer.
For you - and for your peers as well - the demand to be free from entangling emotional bonds is of paramount importance. You have a unique and unfettered view of family life and will be attracted to experimenting with freeform styles of relationship commitments. This may lead to a rootless, unsettled lifestyle.

Neptune is 19 degrees Libra.
You and your entire generation idealize all of the various experimental approaches to relationships, including living together, the formation of communes and collectives, and the whole concept of open marriages. There is a stress on weakened commitments on an emotional and contractual level, but there are heightened expectations of the level of commitment and mutual support on the spiritual and metaphysical level.

Pluto is 19 degrees Leo.
For your entire generation this is a time when the relationship of the individual to society as a whole is being thoroughly re-examined. Major attempts will be made to find a balance between the need to be self-sufficient and the need to honor debts of social commitment.

The Moon's North Node is 24 degrees Pisces.
You're attracted to others who need your assistance. You seem to go out of your way to form relationships with those who are weak, sick, injured, addicted or troubled in some way or other. At your best you can indeed provide the relief that others need. But at times you can be victimized by those who would prey on your good nature and take advantage of you. This can lead to all sorts of negative situations...make sure that those you assist are truly worthy of your time, energy and commitment. A little enlightened self-protectiveness on your part can make your life work much, much smoother!

You were born with both the Sun and the Moon in Sagittarius, which means that you were born at or near the time of the New Moon. This astrological combination tends to accentuate your already restless Sagittarian nature, and unless you are given proper training and acquire a good education, this polarity will lead you to a life of wanderlust.

Those who are fortunate in acquiring a good education may become ambassadors, judges, ministers and teachers. Sagittarius is the most spiritual of all the signs, and many ministers and religious leaders are either born with the Sun in Sagittarius or have this sign prominent in their horoscopes.

The Moon was separating from its conjunction with the Sun (waxing or increasing in light; going from a New Moon to a Full Moon) at the time of your birth, thus your nature is more alert and active. You have a bright mind, and you are decisive and capable of any pursuit indicated by the planetary configurations in your horoscope.

In matters pertaining to your health, this Sun-Moon polarity indicates the liability to malcirculation, eye troubles, sciatica and kindred Sagittarian ailments (Sagittarius rules the hips and thighs). It also indicates the liability to severe weight problems because Jupiter, the planet of expansion, rules Sagittarius. Total abstinence from all animal flesh as food is seriously recommended...

Your horoscope contains a powerful stellium in the 12th house. A "stellium" is a grouping of three or more celestial bodies in the same sign or house. "Houses" are the astrological divisions of our planet Earth, just as the twelve signs of the zodiac are astronomical divisions of the Heavens. The houses number twelve also, and they represent every aspect of human existence. The 12th house is the house of self-undoing, and in your horoscope, the Sun, Moon and Venus occupy this house, all in the fire sign Sagittarius.

The 12th house has rulership over sorrow, suffering, limitations, frustrations, handicaps, secrets and seclusion, and behind-the-scenes activity. It also shows your hidden strengths and weaknesses. It indicates places of confinement, such as jails, hospitals, mental institutions, etc., and it rules restraint, inhibitions, exile, secret enemies, hidden dangers, self-undoing and clandestine affairs. It shows the things we hide from others...

The 12th house also rules the inner consciousness, the subconscious mind and karma (i.e., spiritual debts to be paid, as well as charity, sympathy and public welfare). It is often called the "closet" of the horoscope because it is here we hide problems that are too painful to face, or difficulties that we refuse to acknowledge.

With the Sun in the 12th house you are somewhat retiring. Your will is directed tpward exploring the resources of your subconscious mind. If you display leadership, it will be behind the scenes. You can be lonely and estranged from normal human contacts. You are very interested in psychology and psychic research. You may find self-expression through work in large institutions, such as hospitals, prisons, asylums, or places of spiritual and physical retreat. Service to others can provide you with recognition and fulfillment.

(The Sun in the 12th house is similar to having the Sun in Pisces, which is why you have an affinity for those born under this water sign.)

You were born during the Sun’s transit of the mutable (meaning "changeable") fire sign Sagittarius, which is ruled by Jupiter, the largest planet in the solar system. More than any other sign you love your liberty, freedom, and independence. You hate bosses and dictatorial attitudes, and you tend to view attacks on the weak or helpless as a personal affront. You are self-reliant, candid in your opinions, frank and outspoken in your judgments, and somewhat impatient of others who are not as active and energetic as you. You are ambitious, honest, and you possess a great store of friendliness and goodwill toward others – until they prove unworthy of it.

The symbol for Sagittarius is the Archer, the immortal Centaur depicted as half-man and half-horse; thus your remarks usually fly like arrows, straight and directly to their mark. You have a great love for dancing, and a passion for sports that is unsurpassed in the zodiac. Sagittarius is the sign of the athlete. You are also very interested in science, philosophy, and especially religion. Since you are frank, honest and outspoken, you need to develop diplomacy; Sagittarians can be blunt, penetrating, and cutting in their remarks. Generally, however, they are generous, bright, hopeful and jovial (a word derived from Jupiter).

You have a charitable, ambitious nature, and you are not easily discouraged. Your active nature enables you to make fast calculations, and you possess a great deal of foresight. You can often foresee the outcome of such things as political movements long be- fore they become apparent to others. This also applies to business enterprises and/or personal developments. With your earnest, generous and charitable nature, there are times when others try to impose on you. Fortunately, however, your ability to size up an individual makes these attempts transparently clear. Few people can fool you.

Although Sagittarius is the sign of long journeys (and most Sagittarians love to travel), the journeys may be excursions into the realms of philosophy and metaphysics. The desire to learn about people and places may lure you to distant lands, and, irrespective of how you travel, you like to fancy yourself as a free soul who can employ a variety of conveyances – physical, mental, or spiritual – to extend the scope of your consciousness.

The key phrase for the sign Sagittarius is “I see.”

The conjunction (i.e., 0° aspect) between the Sun and Moon in your horoscope means that you were born at or near the time of the New Moon, thus your temperament is unilateral...or almost unaffected by conflicts with the will of others. Your personality is basically integrated, but this does not mean that you will have a trouble-free life. It merely indicates that you are reasonably satisfied with yourself and with the goals you hope to realize.

You do not adapt to circumstances unless doing so will serve your beat interests. Because you are highly motivated to achieve your objectives, success is more than likely. You waste very little effort in activities unless they benefit you in some way. You know how to coordinate your available resources with your life pursuits, and you always have the skills required to carry out any special task you choose.

No one is allowed to interfere in your personal affairs, nor do you concern yourself with the affairs of others. You establish a barrier between yourself and others, and you do not permit anyone to intrude. You allow yourself the privilege of going beyond that barrier, but you rarely do. Generally, a person who wants to meet you would have to make the first gesture (you would rather not extend yourself if it can be avoided). Because you prefer to be independent of close involvement with people, you have to rely on your own ingenuity when the going gets rough. In this way you are self-sustaining and self-defeating at the same time.

You can become enormously successful in your own estimation, even if others cannot judge your success. You do not measure your level of accomplishments by the same devices most people use when making comparisons. You can best succeed when you work alone, or at least can determine for yourself how or when you do your work. You are qualified for positions of authority, although you may be resented by those under you because you are so sure of yourself. You have the power to help others become integrated in the workplace, although you may decide that it isn't worth the effort.

In spite of your seeming self-assurance, you are not too successful in relating to people except at the social level. You are so afraid to have your emotions trampled on that you keep personal contacts at arm's length. Your sensitive nature is your Achilles' heel, which you try to protect. You depend heavily on those quiet, private moments to give you the spiritual sustenance that your outer self needs. Because you are irritated by the constant distractions and the hustle and bustle of competitive society, you must periodically rejuvenate your forces privately, perhaps in meditation...

As aforementioned, your natal Moon in Sagittarius also tenants the 12th house of self-undoing. This placement of the Moon shows that your moods and emotional responses are strongly affected by the unconscious and past experiences. You are restless, shy, sensitive and too retiring...and you don't like strange surroundings. You need time alone to re-charge your emotional batteries. You like to work in secluded or isolated ways, and very often you live in a world of fantasy, which is a result of your fantastic imagination. You are self-sacrificing; if you don't become overly involved with your patients, you could be an excellent administrator for the elderly. You have an active subconscious, and you can be resentful of imaginary slights...

The air sign Gemini is on the cusp of the 7th house of marriage, intimate relationships, business partnerships and open enemies. This means that you are a freedom-loving soul who needs intelligent and sympathetic companionship. Passion rarely carries you away. Age, social and financial conditions don't matter at all in your one-on-one relationships; your need is more for moral support and appreciation. Any strong irritability that you have with others is rarely long-lasting, for you believe in a "live-and-let-live" philosophy. Unless you are careful, though, you are likely to "marry in haste and repent at leisure."

You should be very careful in choosing a mate, as you require good companship to make a success in life. One born under the sign Gemini would be most compatible ro your particular character, personality and lifestyle...

You're quite welcome oldsoul. Here is an informative discourse on Jupiter, the planetary ruler of your Sun-sign, Moon-sign and rising sign:

Jupiter is the planet of benevolence and expansion. It is the largest planet in our solar system, over a hundred times larger than Earth. Some of its keywords are growth, optimism, good fortune, generosity, geniality, joviality, idealism, judgment, philanthropy, sociability and respectability.

Jupiter receives its name from Jove, who, in ancient mythology, was the king of the gods. As a matter of fact, its symbol is supposed to be an altered “Z,” the first letter of Zeus, the Greek name for Jove meaning, “bright Heaven.” Zeus was the great Olympian deity who sat upon his throne atop his holy mountain (Mount Olympus) with a thunderbolt in one hand and the staff of life in the other. In this posture he is, in one divine personage, the Creator (staff of life), the Preserver (the mountain), and the Destroyer (the thunderbolt).

The name Jupiter evolved from the Greek “Zeus Pater,” meaning father of the gods, and its Latin counterpart “Diupater,” meaning God the Father. The planet is, above all others, a benefic planet. The personality with which Jupiter is endowed is a benevolent, patriarchal father figure. He is the judge, guardian of the helpless, and consoler. It is Jupiter who gives the ability and courage to carry on just that little further and longer when everything else seems hopeless. When prominently placed and well-aspected in a horoscope, Jupiter portends material good fortune for the native. He/she is, in addition to being “jovial,” deeply moral, with a strong feeling for the sanctity of authority – and often very religious.

Jupiter is a male planet and is therefore a representation of the solar force. Although the Sun activates all life, it does not deal directly in the daily life of man. The various areas of terrestrial life are assigned to the governorships of the different planets according to their individual natures. Jupiter, as the largest planet, is given the greatest authority. If the Sun is the Caliph or Emperor, i.e., the spiritual lord, Jupiter acts as the Grand Vizier or Shogun, i.e., the temporal lord. To the uninitiated this distinction is difficult to understand. Most people desire action from their God, direct intercedence, swift answers to their prayers and supplications. For this reason, Jupiter has often been integrally linked to the Sun in mythology and religion. To the ancient Egyptians, whose spiritual history has its roots in remote antiquity, Jupiter was “Amun” (“Amun Re” being the solar deity). The Babylonians called him “Bel” or “Moloch,” and the Hindus referred to him as “Vishnu the Preserver.”

Astrologically speaking, Jupiter is, next to Saturn, the most potent planet in our solar system. He signifies all that is truly good and charitable in human life. His actions are truly noble, and a genuine son of Jupiter fills the atmosphere around him with genial warmth. His soul is brimming full of honest good nature. Utterly incapable of practicing fraud, he never suspects it in others, and often becomes the victim of others. Jupiter also signifies the higher moral nature, the humanitarian qualities, and is the author of all noble and charitable institutions and enterprises. Those dominated by its influences express the highest forms of human nature. There is something truly royal in this planet’s influences – a mixture of father, patriarch and king. Those born under its influences do much to redeem mankind from its general depravity. There is always a fine sense of discrimination, and they possess rare qualities of justice, which entitle them to be the judges of people.

As the mythological presider over the community of the gods, Jupiter also presides over the human community. In the astrological system of planetary assignments Jupiter rules the sign Sagittarius, and is exalted (most comfortable and benefic) in the sign Cancer, ruler of the home. The Greek religion also esteemed Zeus as the protector of the domicile and the hearth. He was not only the guardian of the home, but also the chief deity of the State. He was the founder of society, the symbol of justice and truth, and the Lord from whom kings and rulers derived their authority (in this respect, his heavenly staff became the earthly scepter).

Jupiter rules higher education, especially religion, philosophy and law, and its position in the horoscope indicates the nature and development of one’s higher mental attributes. Jupiter goes beyond the rational faculties embodied by Mercury, its polar opposite, for Mercury is basically concerned with the communication of ideas, while Jupiter seeks the basis upon which ideas are formulated. Jupiter confers the gift of prophecy, while Mercury chooses the words in which divine revelations are to be expressed. Mercury finds the proper phrases to outline a national constitution and writes its laws, while Jupiter is the ideology behind government, and provides the universal principles that serve as the reason why laws should be created in the first place. Mercury teaches man how to communicate with man, while Jupiter shows how man is to communicate with God.

In astrological lore Jupiter is called the “god of plenty.” He is the “Santa Claus” of the skies, and when prominently placed and well aspected in a horoscope, gives abundantly of health, wealth and happiness. People with a strong Jupiter influence are compassionate, sociable, optimistic, honest and straightforward. They are dignified, liberal, logical, confident and determined. There is a universal law that states that we receive from nature in exact proportion as we give; thus the man who radiates benevolence becomes a dynamic center through which nature pours her beneficent blessings to her multitudinous progeny...

Jupiter is in the water sign Pisces and tenants the 2nd house of money and material possessions. Jupiter in Pisces shows that you are strongly idealistic, and you tend to suffer personally at the injustices you see experienced by others. Although you are charitable, kind and sympathetic, you often overlook your own misfortunes. You are generally sociable, and you possess many outstanding talents that you are apt to play down or overlook.

You are unassuming, hospitable, fond of (and kind to) animals. You are most likely to profit from friends and associates who recognize your willingness to extend sympathy and help to the poor, the ill, and those who otherwise suffer misfortune. You are likely to achieve a great deal of recognition, praise and honor for your work with sanitariums, laboratories, hospitals and similar institutions. You can also achieve success with the earth and water elements - in land, houses, mining or shipping.

You are strongly spiritual, highly idealistic, emotional, sensitive and imaginative in a positive way. You probably have experienced many precognitive dreams and similar evidences of your psi talents. This may have stimulated your curiosity and interest in psychic and occult phenomena. It is a good bet that you belong to one or more organizations for research into the investigation of psychic, mystical, occult or arcane phenomena.

There is some danger that you will attract a member of the opposite sex whose sole aim is to take advantage of your kind and sympathetic nature. You may do considerable traveling by water in the course of your life's work. Learn to confide your secret ambitions, dreams, visions and feelings in someone you can trust and respect. You have a tendency to suffer inwardly while wearing a smile, and allowing the world to believe you are supremely happy and content.

Jupiter in the 2nd house indicates substantial business ability and expansiveness, giving good fortune re: money and property. People with this house placement of Jupiter often engage in business related to real estate, domestic products, food, hospitals and other institutions, psychology, education, fund-raising, travel and publishing.

(Jupiter rules the fire sign Sagittarius and co-rules the water sign Pisces.)

Venus, the planet of love, was rising on the eastern horizon at the time of your birth, conjuncting your Ascendant. Venus conjuncting the Ascendant in your horoscope indicates that you have a personable manner and social charm, which win you the approval of everyone you deal with. This is exactly the sanction you seek, for above all else, you want to be accepted. You find it easy to make whatever compromises that are necessary to get what you want.

Although Venus on the Ascendant usually adds charm, sociability, and good looks, it can also bring self-indulgence, which may cause health problems if Venus is adversely aspected. Witty, with an ever-present sense of humor, you are able to attract and influence other people because you are so pleasant, such a good conversationalist, and so sincere in your approach.

Fond of the finer things in life, you tend to associate with people who have similar tastes – in the hope of establishing a permanent relationship with such a person. However, you may not succeed in convincing everyone that you are only "acting" the part of the conniver. Regardless of the image you present to observers, underneath the facade is a calculating machine on which you count the advantages and disadvantages of every association or friendship, every social contact and social function.

You are clever in exploiting your best qualities because you know how to win admirers with your charming ways. You are usually well mannered and refined, but when you can't get what you want, you become extremely aggressive and demanding. Everything has to stop until your wishes are satisfied. You provoke people to take advantage of you, and then you are annoyed at their presumptuous attitude. Learn to tone down your self-seeking temperament and spend some time developing the more substantial talents that will make you worthy of the gifts you seek...
