Poetess 05-02-2002, 09:30 PM AN AWSOME GOD
If God brings you to it - He will bring you through it.
You can't be perfect in every way, no need to be dismay
The person who can clearly see your worth, is the one
who came from the virgin birth. He is worthy of your time
cast not your pearls before the swine’s. Do unto other’s
as they do unto you, for this is the golden rule.
Trouble doesn’t last always; it merely brings us to
a brighter day. If God brings you to it, he will bring you
through it, put all your trust in him, not only when times
seem dim, he’s an awesome God, trust only in him.
He is the King of Kings, Lord of Lords
He’s not to be ignored. Stop telling God about your Problems
Start telling your problems about God. Thank God he brought
You to it: He’s the only way you got through it.
What an AWSOME GOD!

Joyce 04-28-2004, 02:12 AM His Words
His words
Touched me,
Grasped me,
Held me,
Turned me,
Changed me.
Touching and grasping my soul
Until I am held...
Yet turned by change.

He's the same one we were talking about in the other thread...remember??? The God you referred to as Jehovah or YHWH (meaning: 'He causes to be, He brings into existence').

I don't refer to the creator as he joyce. In fact I take issue with the Judeo/christian concept of "God" in the christian bible. Could this be the God called Yadabaoth created by Sophia/Shekinah in the Nag Hammadi scrolls?

Naw...I don't think so. Sophia was nowhere around...sorry . Everything which has a beginning has a cause. Since God, by definition, is the Creator of the whole universe, he is the Creator of time. Therefore He is not limited by the time dimension He created, so has no beginning in time.
Colossian 1:13-17
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
Thus I really doubt that Sophia created Him. God is just too big to have been created by anybody...

Joyce you believe in a different God than I do. The God you believe in, is the God the gnostics call Yadabaoth. So I don't subscribe to your beliefs.
Needless to say your quoting of biblical passages is totally meaningless to me. So with all due respect. Save it sistah. I don't need it. As I said before, my creator is not a he, but She/He. Unlike the christian one

It is very obvious to me earlier, that we do not serve the same God. However, I do not serve any God that Sophia has made. I serve and adore and love...Jehovah...His Son Jesus or Jeshua (His jewish name). So if you referring to the God of Genesis to Revelation...you got the right one baby, but please drop the Sophia thingy.

Dear Sis,
I was not quoting these words so that they would mean something to you or because you needed anything. I quoted the scripture ONLY to make my point more clearer. If others here, can type hundreds of lines of text (which is also meaningless to me) on their beliefs, then certainly I can quote a few lines of scripture in proving a point. Since it is meaningless to you, don't let it bother you.

First of all Joyce I'm a he, not a she... get the gender correct please. Number two, you can't prove a point to me if I don't believe in your religion. And thirdly it is precisely the God of Genesis thru Revelation that I do not nor will ever believe in. It is my strong overstanding that this is an imposter God. Just like my ancestors taught me. So if you prefer me to drop the reference to Sophia it would only be fair you drop this whole thing about Yeshua, by the way there is no J in hebrew, not jewish, but Hebrew
I ain't mad atcha :)

You might as well not be mad...it wouldn't do ya any good anyway. :rolling:

Sekhemu...I don't have to "prove" anything to you. God stands pretty good all by Himself...He's not begging or pleading for anyone to believe He exist. If you go back to post number 65. You will see that I was responding to a question destee asked...
I read this in another thread here on the forum, "The First Concept of God was the Feminine Principle," and well, it excited me and got me feeling more Godly and stuff!
Do you agree with the statement? Can you share more about this please?
God is Female? Have i taken this one statement too far?
When I shared with her my thoughts as she so kindly asked...it was then that you (post 66) responded to what I said rather than give your thoughts on the question she posed to everyone. I took it that I was invited to join in on this thread so I gave my thoughts on it and from the very beginning YOU have been on me like white on rice. Since you don't believe in the God I serve, why are the thoughts I'm expressing on this thread, drawing a rise out of you??? I didn't start this discussion between you and I...YOU did...remember???
You Said:

Well, that is your business...your soul. Some will...some won't. I'm just glad I did...no regrets.
You Said:

Quite frankly, I could care less if you drop it or not. I know in whom I believe, and I am fully persuaded that He will keep
me in all things. Thanks for the education on the J.
Now...weah is dat coffee you offered me? :rolling:
Joyce
Oh yeah...I forgot to mention that it was YOU who asked me in this thread about God...remember these words??? >>>>
You said:
pray tell me please, who is this God?
It was you would asked about my Saviour...begging to know. I did not ask you about your god...you asked me about mine and then turned around and got an attitude :cuss: when I told you about Him. Remember???
Peace
