This person will be chosen at random and a thread will be created so that the rest of the family members may post their comments and words of encouragement. Remember this will be done weekly, so everyone should have a chance to be honored......So sit back and relax and let's see who will be the first...

Hey fam keep in mind everyone will have their turn.....This is a way to encourage one another to keep on flowing. It gives a chance for you to tell that person how much you like their writing and stuff......as far as the first ever poet of the week....stay tuned...same bat time, same bat channel!!

PoeticDelight ... no, that's not what the frenzy is about. "Poet of the Week" was totally Bishop's wonderful idea, to take the opportunity to show love to each poet, one every week. Heartbeat was simply chosen first, and deservedly so. My going back to his previous work, was in sincere celebration of that choice. When your week comes up, or my week comes up ... whether we are doing something notable or not ... God Bless Us ... because we'll be shown the same love.

True, Heartbeat has just published a wonderful book. I'm sure he'll appreciate you mentioning it. I'll go one further to say it can be purchased online or via the us postal service ... you can find more information at his web site ... www.tightwrite.com.

Destee once again your explanation of things leaves nothing left to be said. Thank you. But I would like to add that I believe things happen and don't happen for reasons far beyond our understanding. There are very talented Poets and writers here...The Anthology will be a success! Great ideas only need their time to be great and that time will come. Poet of the week is a great idea and the time is now for that idea to flow. For me the excitment will build each week to see who will be recognized and of course I will enjoy reading their work. As a poet, I feel blessed to have a place to express my thoughts...That is all it's really about.

You provide a loving, friendly environment for poets to share, to learn, and to express their emotions, in a way that can only be beneficial to each and every one...and take them to a higher place...

It goes without saying, the wonderful time that I had...wow...
I got to do and be ME. Oh what a joy it was/is.

Okay one question how does one qualify to be poet of the week, and what exactly are you looking at? Is it the threat itself if so what contents do you base your champion off?

No it's not base on the poem , Poet of the week comes under the
umbrella of different task how active throughout the week / giving
love to the past poet of the week / amount of post / sharing poetry
just to name a few that we view in making our choice .
