View Full Version : Spoken Word : Trouble Uploading Large Files?
Destee 02-28-2002, 12:16 AM It appears that some of my Sister'n and Brother'n are having trouble uploading large files. The thread is being loaded without the file it seems.
If you are having problems uploading, please share what your experiences are, so we can figure out ways to work around them and other folk can benefit from the dialogue.
I've been able to upload those video files and other large test files successfully.
Anyway ... let me know if you continue to have problems.

Destee 02-28-2002, 09:33 AM One Note: It may appear that as you are uploading your file, nothing is happening ... that the upload is complete but the screen has not advanced to the next step ... be patient with it, as it will advance itself when it's done.
Hunter 02-28-2002, 11:49 AM Still having trouble uploading my file...not sure why...I tried again a few minutes ago. Everything looks fine on the screen until I view the post...PC always seems to run out of paperclips when it comes to me....

Destee 02-28-2002, 01:57 PM Hunter ... I'm thinking that your browser may be timing out before the task is complete. I don't know this, but if you are on AOL and using their version of Internet Explorer, try to open the "real" version of Internet Explorer by following the path below:
Go To:
START >>> PROGRAMS >>> INTERNET EXPLORER
This will open the IE browser window and use it to come to the forum. Once here (using it) try to upload your file and see if it takes.
If you are on AOL, make sure they don't kick you offline because it appears that you are inactive for an extended period of time.
If you're not on AOL, then I've got to come up with a different reason you may be experiencing this problem. Let me know if this helps.

Destee 03-02-2002, 10:36 PM Hunter ... sorry for the delay. Let me see what would be keeping you from uploading. Sherykah has been trying this evening as well, to do large files (allowing me to narrow down a few things), hopefully it won't be too long before I figure this out.
