Hello Family,
There will be some downtime of the forum over the weekend. I'm not sure exactly when, but plan to upgrade and make some of the necessary changes toward accommodating our new "Spoken Word" forum. During this time, you'll receive a message saying that we're down for maintenance. I'll try to keep it as brief as possible.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, you may post them here.

Hello Everyone ... $$RICH$$ :)
I was not able to complete the upgrade this past weekend. What I normally do is test all upgrades/changes on a "test forum" and if everything goes okay there, I apply them here. I ran into some problems on the test forum which kept me from moving forward. I'll be trying again this weekend.
You can help by logging into the test forum (http://www.prettyblackgirl.com/forums) and seeing if you can log out. Don't worry about trying to post or anything ... it was the logging out feature that seemed to hang up on me. Currently it appears the problem is isolated to one of my computers only. If you give it a try, please post your results here.
In regard to the "Spoken Word" forum being fully functional, where it can actually accept large files, I'm hoping that it will be ready by this time next week.

I had no problem logging out.

Nia ... when you first reach the page, look toward the bottom right hand corner and you'll see Log In text and fields for your username and password. Once you've logged in, looking at that same area of the page you'll see Log Out text. Click on it and if you are in fact logged out, the Log In features will be there.
Thanks everyone for testing this for me. It does appear that I'm the only one experiencing weirdness. Moving forward with the upgrade as planned, hoping to have the Spoken Word forum fully functional soon.
